THQ released these images of Saint's Row, which will be released next friday. Who could have known we would get two great free-roams during one month? The big questions is: Which game will you buy, or will it even be both?
Original Saints Row design director Chris Stockman has declared the Saints Row franchise is "dead".
I just started this game last night, just the player creation had me upset. You choose male but they stand like a female. Eyebrows are all effeminate, face, and verything seems to be modeled after a female with a thin male overlay.
I only played the opening and didn’t even complete that before I turned the game off. I will likely go back and try it again, but a very weird first impression.
The franchise has been complete utter garbage for almost 20 years. The first one was the only decent game of the lot of them.

Honestly Janky Generic feeling titles with Humor that tried to way too hard. People criticize Borderlands for its humor, but holy hell, still leagues better than any SR.
Somehow, Saints Row returned. Well, kind of. In a giddy post on the Saints Row subreddit, a lead on the original game in the Saints Row series announced that someone, somewhere might be interested in firing up Volition's (RIP) open-world crime games once more.

It always boggles my mind how developers like these get their hands on well known IPs and completely butcher it into a terrible mess.
My problem is I’ve played all of them but probably collectively an hour a piece for each. Never really got into them and always got them on discount. I wonder if that’s just the general consensus on this game. Because doesn’t feel like any of them are really worth it
To me Saints Row is one of those series that got a foothold in people's minds because the first game was in the right place at the right time (I'd put Dead Rising in the same category). In 2006 when the original came out, people were desperate for new games to play on the 360, and people were not nearly as burnt out on open world games as they are now. So the first one filled a void and served as a showcase for a new console that people were very excited about at the time.
I think the funniest thing to me was the Pecker sword in 3 but overall 3 was a pretty terrible game. I tell myself I want to go back and retry the remake of each version and I just don't feel like taking it to 1080p is going to change a pretty mediocre game at it's core
Get rid of the regenerating health, or only have a certain food type that regenerates health a bit. Regenerating health + food seems a bit much but just IMO.. I always found that a bit stupid.
The wait for GTA 6 is painful, but for less than $6 you can pass the time with the overhated Saints Row reboot on your Steam Deck right now.
This was free on something at some point, so I decided to check it out. It's definitely properly rated.
saints row had poor graphics and framerate ( could this be a common problem with thq games? take a look at moto gp) also saints row plays the same gta which is not acceptable in my opinion as a next gen only title
GTA and all of its "clones" are crap games.
they need to use a need 4 speed style engine for the driving parts, then change to a max payne or fps style engine for the on foot parts. that way you would have a good driving game and shooter rolled into one instead of a average driving game and average shooter that plays like a ps2 game.
that game is a ton of fun. i like the GTA games so saints row is a natural fit. there is so much to explore and run across in that game and the MP sounds awsome. i played the just cause demo last night and just wasn't impressed.
And I love saints row. I do not think they are the same at all. I mean yeah you can car jack and kill people but the SR is is more of a custom game. Gta is more cripted. I will have GTA4 when it comes out and you wont hear me griping about how it looks liks saits row. You people are sad. So what it is in the same genre of gta get over it.
