That's a smart move, there is no need for auto aim.

starchild5530d ago

On PC it is unnecessary since aiming with a mouse is fluid and precise already. On consoles it is needed because the analogue sticks don't give you that level of precision.

Auto-aim on consoles makes the game more accesible, even Bad Company has it. Battlefield 3 on consoles will have it. Halo has it. These games use it correctly.

Call of Duty on the other hand...close your eyes and pull the trigger and you will pwn a guy whos been playing fps for for years.

There is no correct fashion in which to have auto aiming.

Solans Scott5530d ago

I used it a first then started paying with it off. For me the difference wasn't very noticeable.

IcarusOne5530d ago

Why can't it stay? Crysis, Halo, COD, all of these list it as an option that can be turned off. What's wrong with that? It makes it more accessible for new comers.

Soon as the auto aim was turned off made me realise how bad the hit detection is on crysis 2.

DrHouse5530d ago

It is not that bad. Its not perfect, but if you compare it to the like of Broken Ops, Crysis 2 plays like Halo.

Ape Escape.
Fun game but, wow, you need a college degree to understand the controls.
A remaster would also save you from having to constantly fight the camera.
Keep the music though. Those drum and bass tracks fit really well and haven't aged. Made me think that more games could work well with drum and bass tracks, but unfortunately it's a somewhat niche genre now.
