An ongoing battle I (Eric from GameNTrain) used to have was getting my wife into gaming. Not all men are blessed with girlfriends / wives that enjoy gaming. I have spent years attempting to get my wife involved in videogames. I used to hate waiting to game until she either left the house or when she went to bed. The best way to get a girl into gaming is by playing games with your future daughter. My dad did this with me. He used to invite me to play PS1 games with him and i had fun. I loved it. That how i got into gaming. So the best way to have a girl become a hardcore gamer is by introducing them to games while they young.
why dose it matter if one or the other doesn't like games....any bf ive had either is to annoying and compares scores every 2 seconds or never wants to play a real game.....but then again if your calling call of duty a real game then 90% of the time you have no idea what a real game is
Sadly, I don't think there's an "easy" way to get someone interested in, well, ANY hobby they aren't already interested in. I've been gaming since I was about four, so I've always had that interest. But many of my female friends just can't see what the big deal is, and the harder I try to convince them there are games out there they would like, the less they believe me. They just can't see the appeal. It'd be as hard as trying to get my male friends who hate shopping for clothes interested in shopping for clothes. :(
I just tell her hey you wanna play with my joystick? If she says yes then i know shes into gaming!
The wife plays games on my iphone alot, she also enjoyed pixel junk monsters and mario bros is also one of her favorites. I find that if a game has a good story she will watch and not make to much of a fuss about it. She watched me play Uncharted 2 for like 2 hours and seemed to be entertained.
