Kaos Studios may have taken a hit after 17 staff members were let go of, but they plan to carry on supporting and improving their First Person Shooter, Homefront, including some “exciting” DL

Jack writes: "Back in March 2011, the first-person action shooter Homefront arrived on the Xbox 360 from THQ, along with a storm of publicity which included a really cool live-action trailer"

Last week game dev Steve Thornton took to Twitter to ask: fellow devs, have you ever slipped something into a game you're working on that's just for you? The replies are well worth a read.

Deep Silver and Humble Bundle are currently offering the first Homefront game for free. This offer will last for the next 48 hours, so be sure to visit its Humble Bundle page in order to acquire your free copy.
get it! the single player is excellent and intense and the MP is pretty fun, too.
Ehh, PS4 needs these deals too, or consoles in general we always get discounts rarely free stuff that's REALLY free (games with gold / psplus isn't free)
Played a bit of Homefront today on PC. It's just a woefully clunky game. Why is everything so slow? Why can't I jump 10cm objects half the time?
On top of that, after just playing through Crysis 2 which does a great job of not constantly flooding you with enemies, it's almost a chore in homefront having to take out wave after wave of respawning enemies.
Multiplayer is boring and completely lacks atmosphere as well. Why is this game selling so well?
Homefront having "Exciting" DLC? And they "Promised" this?
...
APRIL FOOLS!
Visari wins!
And I couldn't imagine anything more exciting than the anticlimactic ending of the single player campaign....wait, wait, is it more terrible voice acting? If so - EXCITING!
HAHAHA! Laughing (with you all of course!) at all of the above comments!
I'm glad I wasn't the only one who thought this game was a pile of shyte! I traded it in at Gamestop a mere 3 days after it's realease, having completed the campaign and played about 2-3 hours of the multiplayer--enough to know I have much better MP shooters on my shelf at home which are more fun and better looking than Homefront.
