"Zoo Entertainment and indiePub today (March 31, 2011) officially announced plans to release Cipher Prime Studio's Fractal for iPad.
Fractal, called a 'new ambient music puzzler experience' by the developers, is currently available for PC (Win) and Mac and will be available Spring 2011 for iPad ($4.99)."
Cipher Studios has announced their pill crushing point-based game is coming to iPad2 and higher on May 1st for $2.99. This version will support multitouch gameplay, saves to cloud and integrate leaderboards and achievements from Game Center.
While indie developers can self-publish in North America and Europe, Japan is a different market. Digital distribution still requires a publisher that’s a Japan-based company.
Zoo Entertainment is stepping into the ring and licensing Western developed indie games for Japan. Zoo actually started out with solutions for medical records got into the video game business in the late 2000s distributing PC games for Japan like Left for Dead 2.
