This is very true, my nephews grew up on these two games and whenever I introduce them a AAA game whether old or new, it's like seeing an alien try to make sense of it and then quickly lose interest in it.

Gaming trends are so weird to me now. Like, I’m old school and games were consumed essentially how movies were. You play through a title and look forward to the sequel or other things that came out. Now, that is so not the norm.

Not into the game at all (yeah i'm an heathen) , but it seems it kinda kills its charm .
It's one thing when a game doesnt care about realism and choose its suitable own design , it's another when you try to add realism and fails at it . The flaws becomes then too apparent .
Obvously its still some tremendous work , but meh

I'm trying it out at the moment. Built a new world and I'm getting a real Lord of the Rings vibe, haha. It isn't bad by any means and the sunsets are amazing. I don't play Minecraft much so I'm not sure what I can tell you. It's not as charming Baka, but it's a nice substitute.
