Giving a final impression of a game that’s constantly changing is almost impossible, as components that might be broken now will undoubtedly get fixed later, and the game is always receiving new content to keep gameplay fresh. RIFT challenged WoW, both with gameplay and to-the-point advertisements (“We’re not in Azeroth anymore”), striving to be the quintessential “WoW Killer” that new MMOs are automatically christened as once they hit the market. Though it’s not much of a killer, RIFT can definitely stand toe-to-toe with the MMO juggernaut.

Players can progress through 30 levels of challenges by completing daily and weekly quests, thus earning Battle Pass experience points and rewards. The Battle Pass can be played for free and will reward players with various consumables and a set of artifacts that will literally make their pants burn – the “Pants on Fire” effect

gamigo is pleased to announce it has assembled a hefty collection of in-game events, quests and items for the “Budgie Carnival Celebration” in its fantasy MMORPG, RIFT.

After an indeterminate amount of time, the Hellbugs have reared their ugly heads once again to invade Rift. It’s up to players to fight these hellish creatures to save Telara – and in doing so – earn a number of unique rewards that will display their dominance over the Hellbugs.
Will be interesting to see if this lasts after so many other MMO's have fizzled out.
It's exciting that other games are coming out that stack up to WoW but I wish developers would stop looking at the genre as the WoW gameplay model. The idea of the genre is just RPG mechanics applied to a massively multiplayer environment - there's so much room for cool ideas there but everyone just copies "the best."
I kinda wanna play this again. I didnt like the beta but several of my friends love it right now
