"Mass Effect 2: Arrival, the final mission before the 3rd game in the series is released, but is it worth it, and can it beat the highly rated Lair of the Shadow Broker?"

One of the best things about the Mas Effect series is the companions you meet along the way. So here is a tier list of all the companions from Mass Effect!
To think that Bioware at some point was capable of doing games like this, you see those characters and remember them like good old friends, and now check ME Andromeda, Anthem, Veilguard etc and wonder what the hell happened.

Do you do it during a playthrough? Or do you finish the game first and then do this DLC. I want to get this right now but Ive still got alot to do and finish the game on extreme with my imported character before I do this.
edit- well it says you cna do it before completing the game. I may do that even thought it doesn,t make as much sense.
kinda pissed im broke now...
In order to play this you'll have to complete the mission on Horizon, after that its up to you when you play it. Personally, I left the Lair of the Shadow Broker til after the suicide mission because I felt it fitted in with the story, I'll do the same with this because this is suppossed to be a bridge between ME2 and 3.
This is either very good or very bad timing for me since I just bought ME2 last week even though I'd had some kind of machine that could run it since the day it came out.
I didn't bother picking it up for ages since I found the PC (and then much later, the PS3) demo quite underwhelming and though I enjoyed the first game I thought the plot and characters were pretty typical cheesy sci fi stuff (though I did like the overall idea of what the Reapers were doing with the citadel).
Man though, what a dumbass I was to wait so long. ME2 is fucking awesome, I know I'm not exactly breaking ground by saying that but I can't believe I waited so long to pick it up. The characters and art style are so much better in ME2 than they were in the first game, the fictional Universe the game is set in has evolved into it's own place, rather than being a videogame version of the Star trek or Star wars Universes it's become it's own valid Sci fi Universe that deserves to stand right beside either of them.
A lot of games these days, even ones that I enjoy, they just don't suck me in. I'm always aware that I'm playing a videogame but after about five minutes of playing ME2 on any given night I'm right there in the Universe they've created. I still haven't finished the campaign or even started the DLC missions (I don't think) but I already know I'll absolutely be picking this one up too.
I enjoyed it quite a bit. I recommend it if you're up for more story. Just make sure to check the achievements list so that you don't restart the mission halfway through to get them like I did.
