Downloaded it, but haven't played it yet, so I guess we'll see.

What are you waiting for? By now you could have been half way through.

sp1deynut5528d ago

More like PAYable. No thanks BioWare/EA...you'll not fool me again. I'll buy ME3 used from GameStop...beat it...then return it within a week for a full refund. You'll not get a penny from me again.

NYC_Gamer5528d ago (Edited 5528d ago )

bioware, has really changed and its for the worst.

tigertron5528d ago

I'm just waiting for it to come out on the EU PStore.

Raven_Nomad5528d ago

Bioware hasn't changed, it's EA that's really pulling the stings, forcing early releases. I mean when you consider Bioware waited three years to release Mass Effect 2 and now they are rushing part three in less then a year it should tell you something.

Also I know Activision is the easy target to hate on here, but EA has long been a company I try to avoid for the past six years, ever since they bought the NFL License and thus put an end to the NFL 2K series.

IronFistChinMi5528d ago

It's only less than a year if you're a PS3 owner. PC/360 owners have waited almost 2 years. In all it's had as much dev time as Uncharted 2 and that definitely never feeled rushed.

Raven_Nomad5528d ago

I am a 360 owner, but ME2 came out mid 2010 and ME3 comes out Holiday 2011, it's not the full three year cycle I like to see with my favorite franchise.

I really, really wish Microsoft had bought Bioware. I knew this would happen when EA got them, I'm not even one of those people that think MS should buy a ton of studio's but to me, the Bioware games were made for the 360.

IronFistChinMi5528d ago

ME2 came out January 2010, so you can add on a few months! Time will tell if it's not long enough, but so far Bioware haven't let me down (not a big Dragon Age fan!).

I totally agree with you about Microsoft buying up Bioware, how on Earth they let that pass up, we'll never know! I think they've spread themselves too thin since joining EA and it has resulted in some shoddy content.

I just hope ME3 keeps the high quality as its precursors, Mass Effect has been my favourite franchise by far this gen.

Bro missing companions: Legion, Grunt, Samara/Morinth, Javik, EDI

anast524d ago

Legion, Zaeed, and Jack are my favorites.

RiseNShine524d ago

To think that Bioware at some point was capable of doing games like this, you see those characters and remember them like good old friends, and now check ME Andromeda, Anthem, Veilguard etc and wonder what the hell happened.

anast524d ago

They lost too much talent.

IAMRealHooman524d ago

some in andromeda are decent, I agree with peebee and Vetra being good companions. Except Liam he's trash tier

anast524d ago

"I started playing games yesterday" the List... Meh!

How about a few RPGs that deserve some love instead?
1 - Alpha Protocol - Now on GOG
2 - else Heart.Break()
3 - Shadowrun Trilogy
4 - Wasteland 2
5 - UnderRail
6 - Tyranny
7 - Torment: Tides of Numenera

And for a bonus game that flew under the radar:
8 - Banishers: Ghosts of New Eden

Loved Alpha Protocol in all it's glorious jank. Great game.

SimpleSlave772d ago (Edited 772d ago )

Not only glorious jank, but the idea that the story can completely change depending on what you do, or say, or side with, makes it one of the most forward thinking games ever. The amount of story permutation is the equivalent of a Hitman level but in Story Form. And it wasn't just that the story changed, no, it was that you met completely new characters, or missed them, depending on your choices. Made Mass Effect feel static in comparison.

Alpha Protocol was absolutely glorious, indeed. And it was, and still is, more Next Gen than most anything out there these days. In this regard at least.

Pity.

Mass Effect 3's Ending for Javik Misses the Forest for the Trees

Based on one narratively fitting ending in Mass Effect 3, Prothean squadmate Javik is highly unlikely to return in the next Mass Effect game.

He was one of my least favorite characters. I wish they would have done the Proths different.
