hahaaa.. this is awesome.. I guess that means we'll be seeing this game sometime in the spring of 2012, going by the LA Noire timeline. They hired for voice casting around this same time last year.. Im stoked.

Im going to fart in my belly button if this turns out to be better than san andreas.

The characters really seem over the top but it really needs GORE ala Gears of War in this one and then picking up an AA-12 with explosive shells (like that 1 in The Expendables movie) and blast an entire gang in a few seconds turning them into pieces or just pick a katana sword and remake Kill Bill :D

I google imaged verdant bluffs = SAN ANDREAS will be the location of gran theft auto V.

I find it strange that GTA 5 would have a 10-15 year old boy. Like in previous GTA's there aren't any kids....

Im not going to bash GTA IV too bad. We all went in expecting infinite possibilities and were let down because we expected the world on a platinum plater. I look at IV simply as the devs were saying, "This is what we can do on a new console, lets test the limits and go from there."

The cant get worse from here. Even if you hated IV with a passion, your gonna get V launch day. Its only right.

P.S...That list of characters are for ppl who will be calling in to a radio station. You may or may not run into some on the streets it seems.

I sure hope it's similar to San Andreas. I really liked the CJ story.

To be honest although a new GTA would be cool, especially if done right.... I don't find myself getting all excited about it anymore.... I am preferring the new direction they have been going with games like Red Dead and LA Noire!

That said though.... a new GTA could quite easily come out that just blows everyone away and is awesome.... it's just I will not be excited for the game until I see it running as unless they add in some cool new features it will just be more of the same. That's cool, but not something that I find particularly thrilling!

this was pretty much stated last week in the article that said the dude from problem child and aladdin had been cast, it had these characters and a few more listed and described, sounds like a twisted line up, and theres gonna be a kid in it? first time in a gta game, if indeed thats what this is...

Rockstar are truely fantastic Developers, GTA IV, whilst Critically Acclaimed, is still in my eye's underrated. With the desiscion to tone-down the game for a more naturalistic approach recieving heavy critisism from the gaming community, I however found GTA IV to be just as worthy of praise if not more so than San Andreas, the world felt so... alive. The binmen in the early hours of the morning grasping on to the back of the trucks being driven throuh the city, the citizens of Liberty City walking and talking, holding newspapers over their head in the rain, starting fights with one another when clipped by a passing car.

GTA V will no doubt, and hopefully, follow on from GTA IV's realistic approach and hopefully with several new additions to the gameplay, making for an even stronger astmosphere and experience. One small adition I want to see, but don't consider it entirely necessary, is the opportunity to take human shields. With Civilians being one of the games key-features (Adding to the realism of the world), it would be great to see Cop's reactions to hostage situations or how combat shifts to a new level with them begining to negotiate rather than shoot. Hearing the civilian plea and this moment of "should I or shouldn't I release them?", I'm sure Rockstar of all developers can give that tension and vibe to a game.

Also, the characters of IV were brilliant and I've heard several rumours of V's Lead character being a bent Cop, of which would be fantastic as it would provide a gritty, dark look in to the world of both Justice and crime and perhaps give you more choice as to how the game plays with you constantly choosing how to deal with situations. For instance, you find someone attempting to steal a car, you can arrest them and get respect in the office, or, ask if the guy has drugs and if so you let him go if he hands them over, then, with the drugs in hand, you can pass them to the police as confescated goods or sell them to earn yourself some extra cash, or, take them.

Do it Rockstar, what ever approach you take with GTA V, we all know it'll be a winner for sure.

yah this is a rockstar game no doubt there a child molesting criminal thats a new one usually in games your the one who catches that kind of guy but its a new twist i might buy the game to get him run over by a train a couple of times then ill go by the story line i wonder what rockstar cooked up for us in this game.

these sound like mostly radio talk on GTA games, like an add for a youth movement that want to be able drink booze. i doubt you would see the kid actually in the game, just the voice. i believe that the ped has already been in the game

How come people think there will be a GTAV anytime soon?

Look at GTAs history. Last gen era GTA3 came, and was followed by Vice City and San Andreas.

This gen GTAIV have been released. And then the DLC episodes. You could can't really count them as full releases like Vice City and San Andreas.

The next GTA game will probably be an expansion of the GTAIV universe in a new location like they have done before.

I think there there won't be a GTAV until next-gen...
