PSNow!: Homefront PS3 Review (singleplayer)

Homefront's singleplayer is one of the most important disappointment in the FPS genre. It's a faulty product with a lack of quality in critical points.

The graphics are simply awful and old-fashioned. The story is promising at the very beginning but immediately unpleasent.

THQ has failed with this game. A handful of broken promises.

into SP and so much hype into how this will be the next best thing. and i know it sold over a million the tv compaign will make the casual fan buy it because it looks great in tv spot

what's really say is all the money they are spending on tv advertisement maybe some of that should have gone to

longer story
more diverse online
better engine
and THQ has already said this will be a series and we will see sequels there is a part me of that tells me they kept part of story back either for dlc or a sequel

or a darksiders sequel

i thought the gameplay length was fine because it was such a chore to play. i actually wished it was shorter or didn't exist all together.

then again i'm extremely bored with cod-type of campaigns so it didn't help.

plus the game had respawning enemies and grenade spamming which is terrible gameplay design. the reason why i enjoyed halo: reach so much is because you were given a specific amount of enemies in an area to take down which opened up strategies (at least on the highest difficulty) where you could work out which one you would take out first and so forth.

it's more fun than pushing through waves of the same enemies until you get to a point where they stop spawning.

that's just me.

... One of the most important disappointments ey?

Translations are funny.
Seems like the biggest complaint was the graphics. =/

A 4....when the game actually works (I got it for PS3) its a solid 8 for me...as I am having alot of FUN with the game.

But it does have freezing issues. And takes long to get into matches. So right now...a 4 is what I would give based on ISSUES...that can be fixed.

AS for the gfx...they look fine to me. But hey...I liked MAG also lol.

Bottom line...for me at least I ask myself...am I having fun. If I say YES...its all good.
