Eurogamer published an article yesterday about new Fable, Halo, Gears, and Forza games. Many gamers might rejoice at this news as those are the four biggest 360-exclusive franchises out there. But gamers have been playing these same franchises for years. Where's the innovation? It's time for some new IPs!

The Outerhaven writes: Being fans of Fable, we decided to do an in-depth retrospective on the Fable franchise, exploring its choices, consequences, tone, and lasting impact on RPG design.

GOG appears to be teasing potential re-releases of Konami's survival horror game, Silent Hill, and Xbox Game Studios' Halo: Combat Evolved.
It's crazy to think that GOG will have Silent Hill 1/2/4, Dino Crisis 2, and Resident Evil 2/3 before the PSN. What the actual fudge is Sony even doing over there?
I will probably pick up Silent Hill 1 right away if GOG gets it, I grabbed BOF4 as soon as it was released, haven't picked up Dino Crisis yet since I already bought it on PS.
i'm tired of all these sequels it stops the growth of the industry creative wise
I agree and how about some reboots of forgotten games like LOD?
@Xander you nailed it that's what i was referring to.
And i know sony has so many franchises they can revive.
@Tommy Exactly i think the biggest problem with the industry right now is most developers are making fps i mean come on there's already one that get's released yearly.
Why can't we have more like Yesteryears game's for some reason they seem so much fun than most games in today's market.
indeed
Heavy rain did it, Enslaved tried it, Mirrors edge tried ,but both of those failed in terms of sales
Yes! I agree so damn much!
Biggest problem in the industry right now. But there should be some new franchises around the corner. Quantic Dream, Respawn, Bungie and Insomniac are likely to make a new franchise or two in the near future.
I'd love to go through a whole calendar year without a single sequel/spin-off being released, just to see what would happen.
