NGP Will Launch With An RPG From Ys Developer Falcom | Siliconera

Falcom, the makers of Ys and The Legend of Heroes series, have been big supporters of the PSP. While many of their games including Ys: The Oath in Felghana were initially released on PC, Falcom began making PSP exclusives. Ys Seven, Ys vs. Sora no Kiseki, and The Legend of Heroes: Zero no Kiseki made their debut on Sony’s handheld.

Speaking with Dengeki PlayStation, Toshihiro Kondo, President of Falcom, said they have a new RPG in development targeted for the NGP launch. Presumably, Kondo means Japan.

I really really hope whatever game they make is out for the US launch as well. While I'm looking forward to everything the NGP has coming, and RPG from these guys at launch would be great and I'd buy it for sure. I'm more of a JRPG gamer so this is right up my alley.

Falcom announces Dragon Slayer Project for console

Falcom has announced Dragon Slayer Project, its tentatively titled 45th anniversary project for console. A genre, specific platforms, and a release date were not announced.

At first I thought it was based on the anime series.

Yes! I wonder what it will play like. This is where Trails originates from a long time ago. Super interested

Never expected them to revive this.

The first paragraph reads, "Falcom has announced Dragon Slayer Project, its tentatively titled 45th anniversary project for console.", and then, "A genre, specific platforms, and a release date were not announced." There's no mention of platforms on the official website, either. In fact, there's no information on the website at all.

I don't know... I'm getting a faint smell of gacha. Or maybe one of those multimedia projects that includes a gacha game.

Pity. They had really good localization.

I dunno, it had issues, heck they had to redub like half of 8 after release because it was lacking.

I think it would be good to spend up localisation. If most of it done themselves then if Falcom people have some people that are good at English they can correct some errors in it quickly. Despite the concern of western localisers potentially losing their jobs which Trails localisation was really good at XSeed years ago.
