Most of the ones at the store will be this unit anyway. PS3 has been out for almost a year. People that are buying this xmas will have an brand awareness already. Until $299 is beside it, Sony can keep this strategy. By then they will only two on the shelf. Did ipod confuse people with a billion different choices and colors? Did the dslite confuse people? $399 sure won't confuse people.... "Ring whatever model this one is up kind sir!"
Sony drops the price and analysts get mad. Micro$hit is trying so hard to rule the world by using money, but people with brains and value know that Sony is more customer friendly overall and their product shows for it.
