I have a dream. That when a big shooter is released, at least some of its downloadable content caters to the crowd that prefers to game alone.
Think about it. Despite being games that are defined in many ways by their singleplayer campaigns and heroes (Master Chief! Captain Price!), series like Halo and Call of Duty are prolonged not by more singleplayer content, but by multiplayer map packs. Boring.
Can't one series, one day, stump up the time and cash to do a little singleplayer DLC instead?

It's important in life to maintain a broad palette when it comes to culture and the arts. Hideo Kojima agrees, as he continues to use video games like Death Stranding to introduce people to music and other elements they might not otherwise discover.

Mojang has partnered with Merlin Entertainments to build the world's first Minecraft theme park in the UK.

A three-episode live-action adaptation of the first two Yakuza video games will debut Tuesday, March 17 exclusively IGN. Each episode is about an hour long and will stream on IGN.com and IGN’s YouTube channel.
Get a game like Red orchestra 2, not only is the game something fresh large 32 vs 32 battles, the community it self has the freedom to give you free map updates and new gaming mods even better then any developer can, since they are made by the modding community(people who play to have fun not to make money).
Unfortunately since freedom of modding has been taken away from gamers for most AAA releases from companies like EA or activision you dont see much innovation at all in the market. Its the same rehashed games again and again.
Which either leaves you with the option of going for companies like Valve who is about the last remaining AAA dev that actually allows customization and freedom or you could rely on small time devs like tripwire interactive.
Just buy the game used, don't buy it at all, or support games that give it for free.
I think everyone's missing the point here, he's complaining about no singleplayer DLC, not having to pay for DLC.
I agree with him too, I wouldn't say I was getting fed up of multiplayer but I do find myself longing for longer and deeper single player campaigns these days. So a little campaign DLC would be nice.
Map packs, Character skins, Extra characters are all a fookin ripoff, Devs and publishers have no excuse not to include them on the disk from the start, Memory constraints and time are not valid excuses, as they would give them away for free if that was the case.
I don't even buy map packs, never have and never will. Unless they pack it with atleast 10+ maps. Something worth the money. Instead they give you 2-3 maps and slap a hefty price on it.
