Jeuxvideo.com review: Homefront

Ridden with cliches, featuring poorly devised scripts and all the tacky tropes of the typical linear FPS, sunk by an allied AI that could have won awards in 2001, it is also 5-hour long and that's being generous. Some sequences are done better than the others and the multiplayer, though short on content, is fairly nice, which can make Homefront a tolerable purchase as a pre-owned game, if you are not demanding... and if you are ready to fork another 8 Euros to buy a new online pass.

Couldn't have said it better myself

People writing these late reviews actually play the game and think for themselves, or just read what other people have written and regurgitate. This game is as good as any Call of Duty or Battlefield game-the levels are amazing, the premise is fresh and unique, the controls are fine, just simply derivative but why reinvent the wheel? Sad that a good, almost great, game can fall victim to unwarranted bashing. Play it yourself-rent it if you must, and then see who you agree with. But dont let other peoples biased opinions cause you to miss a game you might really enjoy.
