Play.tm recently got to sit down with Tim Browne, Principle Game Designer on Operation Flashpoint: Red River. During their chat Tim explained how the team at Codemasters are hoping to make their game a little more accessible, how people are getting bored of arcade shooters and why Marines call each other f***tards. Really.

Green Man Gaming are yet again offering more than just a sale with a breadth of bundles to take your breath away! They released two games bundles featuring Codemasters and Digital Tribes. Also discounted are Thief, Thief : Master Thief Edition, Bioshock Infinite and Murdered Soul Suspect at 75% off.
Some mediocre - crap games there. Couldn't even include any Codemasters racing games? It's the only thing they're good at.
Even though it's still technically a good deal, the whole $5 or £4 thing annoys me. Humble bundle doesn't do this. No thanks.

You can pay what you want for Overlord, its Raising Hell DLC, Operation Flashpoint: Red River, Operation Flashpoint: Dragon Rising, and Rise of the Argonauts. Paying $6 or more gets you Overlord II, DiRT Showdown, and DiRT 3.

Mobile & Apps: "One of the most underrated shooters of the previous generation was Operating Flashpoint: Red River for the Xbox 360, PS3, and PC. With all its problems, I believe this is a game that is worth playing, however, it is not too hard to see why the game didn't quite kick off, as it should have."
Loved this game, it was dumbed down from Dragon Rising but still an enjoyable game. Was still offputting to people looking for instant/non stop action
Ha! Some colleagues and I are actually planning on hitting this one up tonight. Great game.
I really feel like I'm starting to troll these Flashpoint related threads but after the screwing I took with Dragon Rising, I don't care. Anyway...
More accessible? The one thing that Dragon Rising did right was making it tactical and reasonably realistic. I think if they took the same formula from DR and just fix the bugs and polish it up a bit it would be a great game. Making in "more accessible" sounds to me like they are trying to "CoD-ize" it. If the Operation Flashpoint reputation wasn't completely destroyed by DR, this will certainly finish off.
