Here’s a quick preview of some of the incredibly brutal special moves, fatalities, X-Rays, basic combos and the bonus trailer that you’ll be able to find in the Mortal Kombat (9) demo coming this week* to PSN!

A brutal reset, a smarter story, and a return to what made it great—Mortal Kombat (2011) revived the series.
15 years went by so fast. I remember playing through the story mode at launch.

A new book detailing the artwork of the franchise has been announced
Let me fix this title to something less click baity for you:
New Book: Mortal Kombat: Flawless Victory Announced.
I grew up on this stuff. Adding it to the art collection!
I do hope the next MK iteration goes back to the core of what made these characters appeal in the first place. A few of them lost their edge - I think I've had enough with some of the auntie designs 😂

Ahead of the release of the new Mortal Kombat skins in Fortnite, Epic Games has given players a first look at Scorpion, Kitana, and Raiden.
To players who noticed the CONTROLLER LAG that exists on PS3 Demo of Mortal Kombat 2011, help me spread the word so that Neatherrealms Studio can fix this somewhat painful issue.
MK 2011's fighting speed is somewhat comparable to Tekken 6. The only problem is that while Tekken 6, like other fighting games (such as MvC, etc...) , have very fast controller response (0 to 1 millisecond delay), MK has a higher latency (somewhat 100 and higher milliseconds). When you block and wanted to attack right after, it feels it is already too late. And connecting special moves from a combo is harder since you need to adapt with the higher latency to connect it.
To know what I'm talking about, do the ff. on your other fighting game:
- Press a button and see how fast the character will respond to move or attack
After being familiar with it, try it now with the MK 2011 PS3 Demo. You'll notice that the character has 0.3 to 0.5 seconds delay response. Imagine how the delay will be significantly higher if played online.
I'm not sure if this has been fixed on the later build presented on PAX East 2011. If not, I hope this gets fixed before the game ships.
The new mortal kombat game is a strong contender for fighting game of the year without a single doubt!
UPDATE: Currently running at 1080p. There's definitely an input lag.
I tried setting my PS3 resolution to 720p and the input lag diminishes. Jumping is quicker, connecting specials and combos are much easier, and everything feels more responsive! Can it be more responsive? I'm not sure.
I hope netherrealms studio fixed this issue with 1080p or at least make it 720p only.
OMFG Cant wait COME HERE!!! April 19 LOL
