GDN - Homefront from Kaos Studios and THQ arrived at the office on Friday. It is now Saturday at 14:38 and I have finished the game on normal. It took just four hours and even then that was with me doing some minor exploring and collecting. The game does a great job of setting the mood and showing you the harsh realities of occupation. If they had put that same level of detail into the gameplay and campaign, this would have been an all around winner. In the end, it’s not.

Jack writes: "Back in March 2011, the first-person action shooter Homefront arrived on the Xbox 360 from THQ, along with a storm of publicity which included a really cool live-action trailer"

Last week game dev Steve Thornton took to Twitter to ask: fellow devs, have you ever slipped something into a game you're working on that's just for you? The replies are well worth a read.

Deep Silver and Humble Bundle are currently offering the first Homefront game for free. This offer will last for the next 48 hours, so be sure to visit its Humble Bundle page in order to acquire your free copy.
get it! the single player is excellent and intense and the MP is pretty fun, too.
Ehh, PS4 needs these deals too, or consoles in general we always get discounts rarely free stuff that's REALLY free (games with gold / psplus isn't free)
LMAO. I guess I am not getting this game now. All I heard were bad reviews.
They gave Crimecraft a higher score on the front page lol.
Mixed reviews are mixed!! Average seems to be about a 7 now, yah?
Ridiculous. So far only half of the reviewers seem to be bashing the game. The people who picked this up(including myself) love it. The campaign is short, but multiplayer is the most addicting time I've had since Bad Company 2.
