"War, war never changes but on the American Homefront, its where the war is. Homefront can easily be seen in the shadow of Call Of Duty and Battlefield but it does hold its own against them. Looking at Modern Warfare’s success you would think it would take one brave developer to tackle Modern Warfare and deliver a more high octane, and out do in every area. Homefront is a strong game and when I say ‘strong’ it immerse’s the player into a journey of fighting for your own survival and to see if your emotion barrier can withstand the aggressive nature of the North Korean army. Sure its another FPS to be added to the ever so overcrowding genre, and it won’t completely blow you away in on how the eye candy is, but its for certain that Homefront will no doubt become a force within the genre."

Jack writes: "Back in March 2011, the first-person action shooter Homefront arrived on the Xbox 360 from THQ, along with a storm of publicity which included a really cool live-action trailer"

Last week game dev Steve Thornton took to Twitter to ask: fellow devs, have you ever slipped something into a game you're working on that's just for you? The replies are well worth a read.

Deep Silver and Humble Bundle are currently offering the first Homefront game for free. This offer will last for the next 48 hours, so be sure to visit its Humble Bundle page in order to acquire your free copy.
