I agree with you in part, mostly because I would not have given COD such high marks myself.

However, Black Ops for instance, has a longer campaign which does not suffer from things like clipping issues and invisible walls, and also includes dedicated servers. Homefront has a lot of the same faults that a game like Black Ops has, but also has additional technical problems, an even more forgettable plot (aside from the intro) with no resolution, and inferior, more outdated visuals.

COD may be overrated, but it's also much more polished.
