First Homefront Patch Is Live

THQ's newest first person shooter, Homefront, has received rather mixed reviews due to the short campaign and disappointing plot - including one from us. There are also various major bugs that plague the multiplayer, but THQ is attempting to correct these with it's first patch. But does the patch actually fix the biggest problems within the game?

I don't know if they can release a patch that's actually the missing 2nd half of the game...

Sharingan_no_Kakashi5508d ago

They do it all the time. They just charge you for it and pretend they didn't cut it from the disc to begin with.

Nice!!!! Pretty quick response time. Good job.

I agree with Jaffe - these probs really shouldnt be there when the game is released. This is a industry wide prob, so not just a homefront thing

It'll be funny to see his video blog when the 1st patch for Twisted Metal is announced.

I was happy when I saw the 1.01 update as I loaded Homefront on the PS3, but now Im getting even more console freeze then before o_0
edit: The patch has made the freezing worse, My PS3 has frozen 4 times in the last hour of playing. Never happened that much in the 2 days I played before

SwampCroc5508d ago

I'm sorry to hear that... but i'm glad at the same time... as I can continue to wait for the fix to actually fix something.....

I refuse to play MP again until I know it won't freeze.

SixZeroFour5508d ago

if you refuse to play it until it gets fixed, how will you know if its fixed if you dont play it?

SwampCroc5508d ago

it's called staying on top of the information....

until they patch it and people say they don't freeze anymore... you know.... that's why you incorporate feedback....

SixZeroFour5508d ago (Edited 5508d ago )

and you realize that everyone's personal experience is different, so how can you rely on anyones testimonies other than your own

i havent had a single RRoD happen to me, does that mean the system is reliable?

and you realize that the ppl that comment on n4g, or any forum is usually the minority...so again, how can you trust anyones testimonies over your own personal experience...sure ppl have issues with the game, but thats not to say EVERY person is having issues

jut4205508d ago

same here... i wasn't crashing at all before (only got like 8 games in pre-patch) but i've crashed twice in 3 games...i want to keep playing it sux

DaCajun5508d ago (Edited 5508d ago )

Same here it's worse than before with the crashes, but you can now join a match with a party until it crashes, lol. Also the lagging is worse now too. Last match I played I was the only one with 3 bars, everyone else had 1 WTF is up with that?

That what happens when companies use those crappy POS servers from GAMESPY which is consequently own by that crappy entertainment website IGN.

An intro to Biomutant

Alex & Mike talk Biomutant, a game from Experiment 101/THQ Nordiq you likely have not heard of. While the AAA side of the industry tends to homogenization and imitative, cinematic presentation, “AA” games remain creative and innovative in 2021. Drawing on inspirations as varied as Dark Souls, third person shooters & kung fu cinema, Biomutant is Ratchet & Clank on acid, developed by a team of 20 people.

THQ's Golden Wii, Meant for the Queen of England, has been Found

Remember THQ? They published such games as Avatar: The Last Airbender, Darksiders I & II, the Destroy All Humans series, Homefront, the Red Faction series, and Saint's Row 1-3. Almost as famous as their games were the THQ marketing stunts, including a Golden Wii.
