James Joell-Ireland from wedogames.net writes "There is something about Battlefield: Bad Company 2 and Call of Duty: Black Ops that both games leave a void in the online experience we were really looking for. Black Ops in general is devoid of any real strategy regardless of whether you are playing the most team based objectives, a large reason for that was the size of it’s maps and that the dotted respawning left you open at all angles for an attack – so it was essential to keep moving consistently. Bad Company 2′s Ground War equivalent didn’t make sense spawning your characters to where one of your team mates are providing he’s alive. Bad Company 2 was prone to spawn campers at the default respawn spots, so that’s two games that despite offering (or not) offering a decent work together experience – there was always something sorely lacking."

Jack writes: "Back in March 2011, the first-person action shooter Homefront arrived on the Xbox 360 from THQ, along with a storm of publicity which included a really cool live-action trailer"

Last week game dev Steve Thornton took to Twitter to ask: fellow devs, have you ever slipped something into a game you're working on that's just for you? The replies are well worth a read.

Deep Silver and Humble Bundle are currently offering the first Homefront game for free. This offer will last for the next 48 hours, so be sure to visit its Humble Bundle page in order to acquire your free copy.
get it! the single player is excellent and intense and the MP is pretty fun, too.
Ehh, PS4 needs these deals too, or consoles in general we always get discounts rarely free stuff that's REALLY free (games with gold / psplus isn't free)
