Why would you do something like that? Where is the logic? Surely you would release the most up to date code you can have. I understand that isn't always possible, but why would you release a different earlier build which isn't representative of the game's graphical capabilities?

You're releasing a demo. You are advertising your project to the general gaming public. Surely you want to make an impression?

It would be great if I could make assumptions as to what the PS3 version looked and played like because after 2 days and countless tries and hours wasted I've managed to get into 1 short game.

i think its safe to say, considering all these crysis 2 articles, i will definely not be picking this game up. every developer always spouts some trash about there being no differences. not falling for that crap again.

Hideo Kojima delayed MGS4 often but it worthed EVERY SINGLE F*CKING MINUTE! Now it´s considered one of the greatest masterpieces of the game industry for this generation.

If Crytek REALLY wanna have a game that´s not only for gpu benchmark test, there should be more efford of it, even being just a demo.

Does it has amazing graphics, no. Story, no, aliens, no. Weapons, no. Its not even in HD. But Crytek is to blame for all the crap them been saying. Dont talk if you cant deliver.

I just want to see wich studio will start the next overhype is game. «More advanced», «pushing the limits», «never done before», «we are using all the power of the Xbox 360 and PS3». What this really means is: you gonna get a sub-hd game, that needs tons of patches and still is just average...

after playing crysis demo i ordered MAG from amazon.

If Crysis 2's PS3 version is crummy on release, I'm going to dismiss Crytek for a while. You have your chance Crytek, do it right!

It's a demo, not final product. Crytek has stated X0 and PS3 versions will be the same, so I hope/believe they will be..

i'll give them a chance for releasing Crysis 2 on consoles, since this is their first consoles experience. i hope in the future they need to step it up more because most of us ps3 owner wants only quality games.

Don't judge the full game based on a 360 demo port.

Crysis 2 multiplayer is turd, re-skinned Call of Duty as you have correctly said.
Would not recommend for multiplayer unless it is modded to support Crysis and Crysis Wars content in which its more of a Battlefield 2 game.

It sucks they had to dumb down the PS3 version of the game to match the 360's version.

the 360 demo is based of an older code than the ps3 demo.

He says the ps3 demo is based on the code a few days before turning in the final product. that guy just hurt their sales even more. I wonder if it will get declined as the multiplayer demo didnt work at all for me the other day.

I would just like to know how GG got it right for KZ3's multiplayer beta to look almost just as good as the final build months before the game was released but crytek failed to do so just weeks before release, for me the game does not look as bad as many on this site is saying but it sure as hell does not look as good as crytek is claiming, in all honesty I can live with the graphics but what I cant stand is the pop-ins and it is damn annoying. Unfortunately I think PS3 gamers have been spoiled by the exclusive, instead of PS3 exclusives reaching a ceiling the games have just gotten better and better with each game raising the bar whether it be graphics or gameplay or both and its not going to end any time soon, thus spoiling us. The Sony devs have set a standard in gaming which, Im afraid to say, the multiplat devs just cant keep up with.

i think what crytek is saying is that the ps3's demo is the latest build and the 360's was running a diffrent build and when the retail game comes out the 360 will be running the ps3 build that the demo is running now with the fixes and tweaks to the gfx and fps

The demo on ps3 sucked ,but I saw sp on ps3 and it looks crazy good and the action and ai will give gamers a hard time

theyre saying that the 360 demo is using OLD code, the PS3 demo is essentially using finished code - basically the same code youll get on the retail copy.

so there will be improvement in the already superior 360 version, but little to no improvement in the inferior PS3 version.

This reminds me of the whole Ghost Busters multiplat saga, with the studio claiming it will look the best on the PS3 (console wise mind you, Seeing that it was made specifically for the PS3 in mind) Then when release day came it looked great on every platform EXCEPT THE PS3! Ironic really...

This statement doesn't make any sense at all.
Submission means, that the game is ready. They send the code to Sony for submission, if they find any serious bugs or something. When they don't find anything, than the game is ready to release. What's more important: they DON'T change the graphics at this stage. This is not an excuse.:)

I am just so disappointed on how the demo turned out thats all. After playing the multiplayer beta on the pc even though i did crap, not used to mouse and keyboard combo :P i did have fun. I really had high hopes for it specially from a developer such as crytek i mean crysis was a beast back in the day and still is!!! :O

Compared to the ps3's other flag ship tittles, this just looks subpar to be honest, not only was i not able to play more than 3 matches because of connection issues the game just looks like a blurry mess. I mean take vanquish for example i love that game!!! Loads of action on the screen but to me it looks a little too blurry to my liking but do i care no because platinum games never boasted about garphics only gamplay which in my opinion it delivers. Crytek on the other hand did so you can see why people are disappointed whith it.

Lets not kid ourselves here because the ps3's harware is getting old so it was never going to look like crysis on a high end pc but i mean with games like killzone 3, GOW 3 and Uncharted 2 it just looks like its lacking a lot of polish!!!!

I'm so tired of this crap... like Sony does, they release a half finished product demo (Motorstorm and other games, in beta shape and clearly inferior to the final product).... i thought that a demo is meant to show how good is the final product, so ppl are going to buy it, not the opposite!! If they release crap, it's normal that ppl aren't going to buy it....

It would be nice to see crytek actually release this one…
