GameBlurb writes, "With the gaming market saturated with first person shooters and goliaths like Call of Duty, Halo and Battlefield dominating the scene, Homefront seeks to make a name for itself in the FPS market. But will the game deliver on its promises of an engrossing and atmospheric campaign? Will the multiplayer be good enough to put down Black Ops for the next few weeks? Is this game even worth picking up?"

Jack writes: "Back in March 2011, the first-person action shooter Homefront arrived on the Xbox 360 from THQ, along with a storm of publicity which included a really cool live-action trailer"

Last week game dev Steve Thornton took to Twitter to ask: fellow devs, have you ever slipped something into a game you're working on that's just for you? The replies are well worth a read.

Deep Silver and Humble Bundle are currently offering the first Homefront game for free. This offer will last for the next 48 hours, so be sure to visit its Humble Bundle page in order to acquire your free copy.
get it! the single player is excellent and intense and the MP is pretty fun, too.
Ehh, PS4 needs these deals too, or consoles in general we always get discounts rarely free stuff that's REALLY free (games with gold / psplus isn't free)
I think the game is underrated by many people, since it tries to do something different.
From what I read, the sequel is already greenlit, so it looks like they will have their opportunity to exapand on the franchise and work to improve a few of the issues it faced...
A sequel has already been confirmed..? So that basically means that Kaos Studios knows that they can do alot better..
Hmmmm, So why buy this game then? Why not just wait for the sequel to come out instead..?
why make shooters? There is too many of them. Make games like Heavy Rain!
Shooters in general are getting boring. But that isn't because they are shooters, thats because they all mostly lack that obession factory in the SP. It's all shoot checkpoint , GO GO GO WAR WAR WAR. That's why I love it when games like Bioshock come out, with upgrades and minor choices.
