PAX East 2011: Puzzle Agent 2 Information

Before showing off Jurassic Park, Telltale sat down with me to talk about the newly announced Puzzle Agent 2. I liked the original quite a lot, although its ending was… abrupt. It didn’t sit well with me at the time, but the more I thought about it the more I realized it was actually fairly funny, and that I was put in the same position Nelson Tethers was: I had discovered a mystery and just as it got really juicy I was told never mind, the end, good day sir.

Puzzle Agent 2, then, scratches the exact itch its predecessor created. After being told that seeing a foreman dragged into the woods by red gnomes worshipped by a local cult is actually not a big deal and that he shouldn’t worry about it, Tethers says the hell with that and takes personal leave so he can head back to Scoggins, MN.

If you are unfamiliar with this series, Puzzle Agent throws challenging puzzles and mind twisters at the player while they progress through a very clever storyline. The player progresses through a series of cut scenes and "stages" were you interact with characters and the environment to uncover clues and puzzles.
