i have 360 and a ps3, so i guess i'm allowed to talk now? i like my ps3, count me among the satisfied customers and I bought it on launch day. i also like my 360, in case that needs mentioning to meet your stringent criteria.

so now you know 1 person that likes their ps3, AND i own a 360 so i have all the perspective in the world to "know better". do i need to tell you what other systems i have and what i've played on them? ;)

I do actually respect your opinion and that would be because you have a basis for your opinion. My basis is that I get to play all new games as soon as they come out for whatever system I want. I usually try them all out. For myself, I've usually played an Xbox 360 demo or game far before I've ever get to play a Playstation 3 version of the same game; simply because Xbox 360 usually gets their Multi-platform games first. Playstation 3 renditions of Multi-Platform games are usually old news to me by the time they make it into my hands.

There are many things that I find light years better on the Xbox 36O over Playstation 3. I hate that everytime I put in a PSone or PS2 game, the controller disconnects. I've never once had my Xbox 360 controller disconnect. I hate that I have to make virtual memory cards on the Playstation 3. Whenever I switch between a PSone and PS2 game, you have to virtually Switch out the memory cards. With Xbox 360, it just saves old Xbox games. It's that easy.

I hate the way PSN updates firmware. YOu have to do a search for an update and then go through some stupid user agreement, download it and install it. Firmware updates usually take an hour or so. Xbox updates are automatic. It usually takes a few seconds.

I like that when you download a trial version of an Arcade game off of Xbox live, it simply unlocks when you pay for it. On PSN, you download the demo, and them you have to download the full game. It doesn't even delete the demo you no longer want. You have to manually do that too.

I hate that my PS3 controllers have no rumble. There are tons of PS2 games that I love rumble with (mostly racing). I hate the idea of paying another $50 6 months from now for rumble enhanced PS3 controllers.

I have my Playstation 3 connected to an HDTV at home through HDMI. Sometimes I bring it to work (I only have Standard Def TVs at work) and often forget to manually go into the system and change it to standard Def. So when I get to work, all I can hear is sound. If this were to happen with Xbox 360, I just hit a switch on the back of the Cables. Changing from HDMI to AV cables is a b1Tch. You have to have both cables plugged in and toggle between video settings.

Playstation 3 games sell like A$$. I still have a butt load of Launch titles and discounted prices rotting away on the shelf.

Did I mention that I like achievement points?

So I'm not to favorable towards Playstation 3. And those are my reasons. Next time you hear me say it sucks, that's why.

you know u say that u work at a game store and shouldnt u know how to work with consoles?? ok so u do then tell me why that when u take ur ps3 to work that when u turn it on hold down the power button for 5 seconds and u will hear a beep. and omg it changes it default output settings.

and if u are a gamer then why do u have to hate on a system that plays games. and by making a virtual memory card...hello you have to partition a part of the hard drive for a memory card!

That is part of the problem with Playstation 3, I shouldn't have to bleed to enjoy it. For video and sound setting and any other kind of setting, there are a hundred million options. The interface isn't friendly in the least.

As for partitioning part of the hard drive for a memory card, as I mentioned before, to save original Xbox Games on the Xbox 360, you don't have to partition crap. The 360 just does it for you.

I own a game store and as I mentioned, I couldn't be unhappier with the Playstation 3's performance.

In the support manual, under troubleshooting on the first page:
"Picture"
"no image is displayed on your screen"
-> If the selected videomode is not compatible with your used cable or TVset switch off the system and then HOLD THE POWER BUTTON FOR APROX 5 SECONDS TO RESET THE CONSOLE TO DEFAULT VIDEO OUTPUT"

Splendid, its in the manual, at the right place, in plain writing, but you FAIL TO FIND IT.
Finding requires at least looking, and guess what customers read when they troubleshoot something (except people like you of course, who need a support tech standing behind you all times cause you are to darn stupid to read a manual) they read the troubleshooting section of the manual. The info is also printed into the Quick reference guide, guess where ? YES under "different video connections" "If you change the video cables blabla does not show a picture blabla 5 seconds blabla" - the same tip the troubleshooting manual offers. You therefor managed to NOT read it in the TWO Manuals you got, the troubleshooting guide and the quick reference guide.

Next time when you feel like telling lies about yourself "reading the manual and not finding the information" then do us a favor and make up at least a believable incident, not some easily busted crap.

Video setup is done with two EASY and intuitive steps , select the cable you use (it even shows a picture of the cable and plugs so even someone like yourself may manage it) and then click on "automatic" .. my how COMPLICATED that is. If you WANT to use different settings and tune your outputs for Sound and video you CAN do it, having the option to do so is the opposite of BAD.

Btw, the system informs you with an info screen when a firmware update is ready, without searching, as soon as you log into PSN. And unlike the Xbox360, the PS3 does not brick on a firmware update.

POG actually was referring to the gentlemen I was replying to. I found POG's comment hypocritical to his general attitude on the site, but I meant no malicious intent by stating so. I certainly didn't try to humiliate him, what would be the point or motivation for that anyway?

Thank you for the grammatical correction. I don't get upset when someone corrects me actually, I always learn from it and so I won't repeat the same mistake again.

The reason why I said "I can help" is that, believe it or not, about a year ago I would be what you'd class as a "Xbox 360 fanboy". After some events, unrelated to gaming, in my life had helped me mature I realised the best form of discussion and debate was not to try and attack others, but to structure an opinion in a way that would get the attention of all sides; by showing that you understand the point of argument they are backing, and then to try and counter that in a neutral fashion.

I've tried this with many and I don't know if they read my messages in their inbox or not, but I still try. I am trying the same with POG and Nasim. I've tried with The Mart and he's actually a decent guy once you speak to him. These people are all intelligent and passionate enough to come on everday and argue, in their own little way, their point of view but I am just as passionate. For example, POG, TheMart and others whom are called fanboys sometimes actually make great points yet lose Bubbles and are DISAGREED with.

I don't like that but I know why that happens. People just don't care what they say, and despite what POG and Co. will tell you, they'd much rather have people hearing what they have to say than completely ignoring them and punishing them along the way.

You are right though, the fanboy mentality does add some fun to reading the comments but everyone can be bias and a little excited at times, but it gets boring after reading the same comments over and over again. That's what they mostly do unfortunately. They post the same figures and stats along with CAPITOL LETTERS and exclamation marks!!! and your eyes just hurt. It's no fun then. If these famous members were to try and balance that out, it'd be even more interesting. We wouldn't know how they'd respond to something instead of knowing exactly how they'd respond. Do you see my point?

I am not declaring myself to be some kind of Jedi (I haven't had my robe delivered yet) but I do see myself as I used to be, alot in them and I'm not proud of that. Mart is said to be in his early thirties, I'm just 20. I'd hate to say this but I feel a little ashamed on his part that a mature grown adult rants - intentionally - on the pages. I think he's given up on actually trying to communicate.

Earlier today I sent a message to Bladestar. I told him that I've been impressed in how he's changed his presentation of his opinions lately, and that I've actually started to give bubbles to his comments because they are well thought out and nothing fanboyish about them. So you see, I am not on this conquest to be the silliest hypocrite - who complains about fanboys and how immature they are, and then himself starts to act immature. If people ignore me then that is their choice. I don't hold myself in any position to get offended by those who'd tell me to "shove your help somewhere the Sun don't shine", or something along those
lines. I just hope they do and if they don't, not a problem for me.

However, if POG found my comment offensive, then he has my sincerest apology as I had no intention of trying to attack him and I hope I'm known not to be that type.

Razer, I'm sorry that you find me annoying. The reason why I reply to POG sometimes here and not through the Private Messaging system is that he has me on IGNORE and I doubt he'd get my messages. So I thought, if he sees that I have replied to him, maybe he'd read my post and the message I wanted would get to him?

As a matter of fact, I do send messages to several others through the PM system, the ones that constantly are bias against Microsoft products although I admit I seem to focus more so on those who are anti-Sony. Perhaps it's because I used to be one myself? Either way, I apologise if I seem patronising. I'll stop the public commenting regarding individuals from now.
