It’s becoming a pretty competitive market for first-person shooters, especially with Call of Duty: Black Ops dominating the sales chart. Still, THQ is giving it the old college try with Homefront, a remarkable entry in the genre that pushes forward with some awesome gameplay segments and a story that actually has some relevance behind it. It’s good stuff, even if you think you’ve worn out on “war games”. The story in itself will really draw you in. It’s the year 2027, and Kim Jong Il’s son has risen to power, uniting North and South Korea into one strong nation. It isn’t long before they’re stomping all over Earth, dominating everything in their path.

Jack writes: "Back in March 2011, the first-person action shooter Homefront arrived on the Xbox 360 from THQ, along with a storm of publicity which included a really cool live-action trailer"

Last week game dev Steve Thornton took to Twitter to ask: fellow devs, have you ever slipped something into a game you're working on that's just for you? The replies are well worth a read.

Deep Silver and Humble Bundle are currently offering the first Homefront game for free. This offer will last for the next 48 hours, so be sure to visit its Humble Bundle page in order to acquire your free copy.
get it! the single player is excellent and intense and the MP is pretty fun, too.
Ehh, PS4 needs these deals too, or consoles in general we always get discounts rarely free stuff that's REALLY free (games with gold / psplus isn't free)
Loved this game...
After this review I'll at least be trying this out!
They hype seems to be working. I'm interested in this game finally.
"Kaos Studios has done a so-scary-it’s-insane job painting a world in turmoil"
that what i call bullshit review, this game looks so horrible, even ps2 shooters like Black better in visuals
maybe its worst graphics in this generation, on par with Deadly Premonition i think
I can't wait to play this game tomorrow. The graphics look fine too me. Maybe you haven't played a ps2 in awhile, but your comment sounds really stupid trying to say that this looks like a ps2 game. Always somebody trying to bring every game down.
