Looks like PS3, even at an absurd price of 299.99, is besting the xbox 360 at such a low, low price. Just think what sales will rocket to when they finally get off their ass and do what's right -- That being drop pirce to 199.99 for a 160gb sku and then introduce a 500gb sku for 399.99.

Killzone 3, if these numbers are to be believed, should round a million this week. That's good for a not even a month's time on the shelves.

We already know PS3 has been out selling Xbox 360 worldwide for 3 years in a row from the official numbers released..

b b but but NPD said....

PS3 has ALWAYS outsold the 360

and in ten years from now, when the 360 is a distant past memory the PS3 will still be selling like the PS2 is selling now

(also these numbers are made up like everything on that site)

Not how I thought the year would go with the Kinect effect and the PS3 priced $100 higher. Sony don't need a price cut at all.

Bigpappy5557d ago

There are all kinds of deals offered on the PS3. The 160 Gig was at $199 or $250 on Amazon and the Move bundle $299 or $350. There were even price drop rumors.
There is nothing wrong with good deals, but your stament in not acurate.

trounbyfire5557d ago (Edited 5557d ago )

well there is a difference between retail price $250 and $300 with a gift card. you would have to agree.

if the adverted price and retail price said $200 or $250 its a price cut. I don't think $200 is reasonable because sony just started making profits off each ps3 sold last year. $50 seem right and i think there would be a nice bump

Look I know VIII has its issues and all that but how on earth can the do big anniversary events with new artwork and merchandise for VII, IX and X yet VIII got sweet f*** all.

They could have given it something during its 25th anniversary yet all it got was a single Happy Anniversary post on their social media.

they should know that we are OG fans of VIII as it sold truckload as well. not as much as VII or X. I personally didn't like IX but X and VI are my personal fav.

Shadow Hearts 2 covenant is another game I love. I hope one day someone can make remake, I would be delighted
