ngp will be amazing , psp was a huge success with over 60 million sold but it had some problems in terms of software ... but sony has learned from that already with support from activision ....CALL OF DUTY ON THE GO the kids will eat that up

imvix5538d ago

Having an Andriod DS3 emulator via bluetooth would be awesome.

ginsunuva5538d ago

It's being worked on.
They already have a wiimote one.

Stealth20k5538d ago (Edited 5538d ago )

maybe on sony only devices...........
"since been edited out"
which means they were full of shit

but thats a long long way off. And its not like even 10 percent of the titles will be available like psx titles.

The psp had amazing software. Has the best exclusives for the first half of this year for all systems..............

@nite did you read the article? The xperia would be unable to do it because of weak specs..........this is only important for the ps3,psp2, and the sony tablet maybe if its even true at all

silvacrest5538d ago

"maybe on sony only devices...........
"since been edited out"

no, it just means it has not been confirmed by anyone

true, the xperia play cant play PS2 games but phones come out every month unlike gaming handhelds

nvidia's quad cores are coming out in august this year, expect to see an xperia play 2 or a similar device from samsung, motorola etc running a tegra 3 quad core CPU which should be powerful enough

Pedobear Rocks5538d ago

The engadget report has already been revealed as incorrect.

The only crappy thing about NGP is now Im going to have to buy two copies of COD one for PS3 and the other for NGP

Jihaad_cpt5538d ago

that is crap because both games are proper rubbish, in my opinion

snaz275538d ago

lol jihaad, i agree, why anyone in thier right mind would buy any cod game is beyond me! Let alone buy the turd twice! Well more fool them i suppose.

Yup. Right now PS1 games and minis, eventually PSP games.

It'll be interesting to see if the smaller Vita games make it to PS certified phones eventually. It should would be a huge advantage if PS certified games could play Vita games. How would Nintendo compete with that?

gillri5196d ago

I have a HTC phone, I love it

Tripl3seis5196d ago

BattleAxe5196d ago (Edited 5196d ago )

I've been waiting to try PlayStation Suite on my HTC Desire. It has a bigger screen than the iPhone 4.......just thought I'd rub that in to the Apple lovers out there :P

saint_seya5196d ago

PlayStation Suite dev kits available in November

Sony Computer Entertainment will offer software development kits (SDK) for PlayStation Suite (PS Suite), called "PlayStation Suite SDK," for content developers starting this November. PS Suite is an initiative solution to deliverthe world of PlayStation to Android based portable devices.

golsilva5351d ago

im more interested in the non gaming side ps suite. I wonder if they'll allow all of the apps on android market like finder apps for stores, etc for the 3g since it has gps.

TheSoundDefense5351d ago

Wait, they announced the PS Suite ages ago, but they still haven't given any dev kits out? That seems kind of ridiculous to me.

pixelsword5351d ago

It is; Playstation Home is still in Beta as well, so something's telling me that the Production manager over at Sony needs a foot in a certain place.

rdgneoz35351d ago

Home may be in "beta", but how long have people been playing around in it?

OT: Curious what people will create with the kits.

MasterCornholio5351d ago

This will be great for indie devs who want to make games for both the vita and mobile phones.

Guess the Vita will have those cheap games that the casuals love so much

Undeadwolfy5351d ago

As well as the core games. This is a great idea and good business sense for both Sony and Google.

Ninjeska5349d ago

Apparently it'll also some have PSOne games available though, which would be pretty damn awesome <3

only to sony phones and tablets though........not like anyone else is getting it though.....aka sony certified products

And its only classics. not like any original games really or anything the psp 2 or ps3 wont get on its store.

And besides, the psp 2 is where all there attention is going. A dedicated portable

tenmohican5515d ago

Did you even watch the video?

He mentioned the cloud service coming and basically that portable gaming is a gateway to console gaming.

Most of what he said sounds like scripted sony PR but the few tidbits of info he gave pretty much confirm that they are putting more effort into portables, unlike the current efforts with psp.

Masterchef20075515d ago

Cloud gamming seems like a great Idea but not everyone has the necessary badnwidth for it. Like Trenton said imagine trying to stream 25 gigs of data through a network. Its nice that sony is thinking about it though.
