TheSixthAxis postulates on the possibilities following the Engadget reports this morning.

It is being reported that HTC has now become the first third party company to acquire PlayStation certification for their mobile devices. This could mean that HTC devices - smartphones and tablets - will have the ability to play PlayStation certified games.
I've been waiting to try PlayStation Suite on my HTC Desire. It has a bigger screen than the iPhone 4.......just thought I'd rub that in to the Apple lovers out there :P

Sony Computer Entertainment will offer software development kits (SDK) for PlayStation Suite (PS Suite), called "PlayStation Suite SDK," for content developers starting this November. PS Suite is an initiative solution to deliverthe world of PlayStation to Android based portable devices.
im more interested in the non gaming side ps suite. I wonder if they'll allow all of the apps on android market like finder apps for stores, etc for the 3g since it has gps.
Wait, they announced the PS Suite ages ago, but they still haven't given any dev kits out? That seems kind of ridiculous to me.
This will be great for indie devs who want to make games for both the vita and mobile phones.
Guess the Vita will have those cheap games that the casuals love so much
PlayStation CEO Jack Tretton on adapting to the changing landscape of gaming.
only to sony phones and tablets though........not like anyone else is getting it though.....aka sony certified products
And its only classics. not like any original games really or anything the psp 2 or ps3 wont get on its store.
And besides, the psp 2 is where all there attention is going. A dedicated portable
Did you even watch the video?
He mentioned the cloud service coming and basically that portable gaming is a gateway to console gaming.
Most of what he said sounds like scripted sony PR but the few tidbits of info he gave pretty much confirm that they are putting more effort into portables, unlike the current efforts with psp.
Cloud gamming seems like a great Idea but not everyone has the necessary badnwidth for it. Like Trenton said imagine trying to stream 25 gigs of data through a network. Its nice that sony is thinking about it though.
ngp will be amazing , psp was a huge success with over 60 million sold but it had some problems in terms of software ... but sony has learned from that already with support from activision ....CALL OF DUTY ON THE GO the kids will eat that up
maybe on sony only devices...........
"since been edited out"
which means they were full of shit
but thats a long long way off. And its not like even 10 percent of the titles will be available like psx titles.
The psp had amazing software. Has the best exclusives for the first half of this year for all systems..............
@nite did you read the article? The xperia would be unable to do it because of weak specs..........this is only important for the ps3,psp2, and the sony tablet maybe if its even true at all
The engadget report has already been revealed as incorrect.
The only crappy thing about NGP is now Im going to have to buy two copies of COD one for PS3 and the other for NGP
