Midway today announced revised estimates for the its third quarter ended September 30, 2007, and fiscal year ending December 31, 2007. Midway revealed that Unreal Tournament 3 will not be hitting the PS3 until the first quarter of 2008. The title was originally announced to release this November along side the PC version.
Also changed was the release date of Stranglehold for the PS3 into the Fourth Quarter of 2007 and lower sales for Blacksite: Area 51 for the PS3 and Xbox 360.
David F. Zucker, president and chief executive officer, commented, "While we regret that these delays will cause us to lose some valuable holiday sales in the near term as well as shift revenue for some of these titles out of 2007 and into 2008, we remain confident that our technology strategy and product plan position us to grow both revenue and market share as we move into the heart of this console cycle. Looking ahead to 2008, with our core technology platform now in place, we expect to release a number of titles, including already announced console versions of Unreal Tournament 3, a next generation installment of our NBA Ballers franchise, Wheelman, and TNA iMPACT! the video game. We also expect to release several as-yet unannounced titles such as next generation versions of our hit franchises Blitz and Mortal Kombat, and two exciting new ambitious open world games. We intend to give more details on our 2008 release schedule in the near future."

Square Enix launches Final Fantasy X 25th anniversary site, revealing new Nomura art, books, music releases, and merchandise.
Look I know VIII has its issues and all that but how on earth can the do big anniversary events with new artwork and merchandise for VII, IX and X yet VIII got sweet f*** all.
They could have given it something during its 25th anniversary yet all it got was a single Happy Anniversary post on their social media.

A brutal reset, a smarter story, and a return to what made it great—Mortal Kombat (2011) revived the series.
15 years went by so fast. I remember playing through the story mode at launch.

Why did Sony push Shuhei Yoshida out of his role leading PlayStation's first-party games? He'd overseen some huge successes. Well, apparently, he didn't listen.
Yeah I can see that for sure. Shuhei Yoshida should have been in charge not Jim Ryan.
More confirmation that Jim Ryan is the culprit for what has happened to Sony. Hulst needs to go too. What sucks is that a lot of the good top heads at Sony are no longer there. I wish that guys that were forced out prematurely by Dumbo Jimbo like Shuhei and Layden came back.
Makes you wonder if MS even thought about hiring him after Phil and Sarah were leaving. He certainly couldn't make their situation any worse.
All the gamer/consumer lead heads are gone across PS and Xbox. shuhei gone phil's gone (questionable) but gone. The future of gaming is somewhat uncertain across the board.
a delay. good gosh that wont sit well. hmm i guess Haze takes the cake for this season it wont have to to worry about being over ran by this juggernaut of a game but Damn. i was looking forward to puttin down the cash for this game along with Haze. damn it man. i wonder what could have caused the delay. Epic and Midway better come out with an explanation
Dammit dammit dammit
Are you bloody kidding me...
nice job microsoft. f*** bustards.
ouch.
arguably the biggest draw for the ps3 this holiday season. it's gonna have to be drake's and ratchet that get all the attention. haze possibly but it doesn't seem as hyped as the other two.
that hurts ps3 an absolute f*ckload.
