When building a list of the world's most popular video game, Nexon's KartRider may seem like a strange addition, but this free to play PC racing game has well over 200 million registered users. In fact, one in four people in South Korea have played it. Armed with these impressive statistics, Nexon plans to bring a mobile version to iOS called KartRider Rush, and like its counterpart, you don't need to spend a dime.

"Leading game developer and publisher, Nexon, announces a global collaboration between two beloved franchises: free-to-play mobile kart racing sensation "KartRider Rush+", and Sonic the Hedgehog, SEGA’s most iconic character, meeting for the first time in a team-up of epic proportions! The KartRider Rush+ X Sonic the Hedgehog limited time event is running now through to June 30th. So, don’t get left in the dust!" -- SEGA and Nexon.

TSA writes: "KartRider is a name you might be unfamiliar with, but in other parts of the world it’s a bonafide phenomenon. A Korean free-to-play titan (also referred to as Crazyracing Kartrider) with more than fifteen years of history and a booming esports scene."

One of the best things that could’ve happened to mobile gamers during this lockdown is the comeback of kart racing sensation, KartRider Rush. Nexon has brought back their free-to-play racer packed with so much thrill and style, it might just give Mario Kart a run for its money.
