Even the most ardent JRPG fan will baulk at the roughshod simplicity of the game's systems, restricting the game's audience to Japanophile anime fans who can overlook the experiences shortcomings as a videogame and approach it as a cultural curio. A lot of hate for JRPG's this gen. I don't have this game but I am going to buy it next month. Just making sure I get Yakuza 4 and Ar tonelico Qoga: Knell of Ar Ciel first. Also Shift 2 and Motorstorm are also on my to get list. So most likely in the middle of April, I should own this game. I'll decide for myself if it's a good game or not.
western media might as well stop reviewing JRPGs since no sane JRPG lover would even bother to take their reviews seriously. I know i don't and many others as well.
the story, characters, and art direction at least earn this more than a 2/10. this is probably the lowest rated game this site has ever done. and most of their games rated 5/10 or better, i would break in half and throw away before i choose to do it to this one.
i do not get why this site rates this game so low. its like they are just trying to draw hits with ubernegative scores. damn the game is not perfect by any standard, but a 2/10? wtf
