looks like a great game in the works to me

Wow, that quote in the comment you linked to just made my heart sink. I pretty much knew this thing would turn out to be another cheesy nu metal music, cliche character thirteen year old's dream type thing but I was still allowing myself the slight hope that it wouldn't be.

On the plus side I did just buy Red dead undead nightmare and that's waaay better than I thought it'd be and far better than the actual full game so that's satisfied my zombie craving a little.

the moment i saw everyone making a big deal about the trailer the only thing i could think of is "this game is gonna end up being like section 8" AKA as generic as it gets

When I think of L4D w/ just melee, it sounds kinda meh. Wasn't a big fan of that mode. I'll have to see some gameplay before I reserve judgement.

A good classic zombie game? looks like win to me.

2 disagrees? so nobody wants a good classic zombie game I take it?

So long as the open world gameplay delivers it can look as generic as it wants.

There's not much you can do with the zombie genre in terms of uniqueness anymore. It has been over-saturated almost as much as the FPS genre by both movies and games like Dead Rising or L4D.
