I wish I felt the same way about steam the way you guys do.
anyways, as long as retail continues to exist, I'll continue to buy retail copies.

Good luck - I've seen PC selection of games at stores in an area smaller than a desk. It's all consoles now.

I think i'm the only one that still buys PC games in retail stores... I like to have a physical disk with me.

i only buy DD if it is a great sale, which often times it is, or if the game is so old school, the physical copy is a small fortune.

But i love the boxes, hell, half the time 50% of the enjoyment i get out of the game is the box and looking through the manual, since many, many times, the game is utter crap.

I do have about 110 steam games, 95% of them were bought at half price or better.

Where I live in the mid-west, we have shit-tons of pc games in bestbuy, walmart, target, games stop, around one mall 10 min from my house there are literally, no joke, 5 gamestops, 1 bestbuy, 2 targets, 1 walmart and one meijer who all carry pc games(meijer sucks though and has only like 50 pc games for sale)

the best thing about pc gaming is i will be playing all those crappy looking sub hd, no anti-aliasing console games on an emulater in a few years in true 1600p with 32x anti-aliasing

i can't wait to see what killzone 3 looks like in hd without all those shitty jaggies everywhere and a draw distance of more than 20 yard

The reason most retailers never jumped on the PC wagon was because of the used market. Retailers can't make money off of used PC games where they can off of console. And retailer policies for opened PC items is horrendous!
