360 or PS3, but most likely 360.....especially since MS pays the big bucks to get the DLC first and makes it more accessible....

Playing through DA: Origins right now on 360......Hope that there's a bonus in DA:2 for finishing origins......All while my PS3 continues to collect dust....that is, until Infamous 2 and Uncharted come out!

No matter what.....this game is gonna keep me busy for a loooong time...Bioware really knows how to make a game worth it's weight in gold.....always a great story and lots of DLC to keep it fresh....more developers should take a cue from them....I'd rent less and buy more if that were the case....you always hear these developers whining about their games not selling, if they made them so that after a six hour session, they were finished, they'd have more success.

PC. Played the demo on max settings ran smooth. Graphics aren't great but hopefully the gameplay is there. I'll wait for reviews and see if it's worth paying the $60 for.

WildArmed5563d ago

Ditto, PC for me.
It's nothing against consoles.
(because the people that have me on their FL know I play much more on consoles)
but, games like this are more easily enjoyed on PC (esp. w/ community mods and such)

Again, that's just my opinion.

GuruStarr785563d ago

If anyone still wants to get their hands on the signature edition, Message me and I'll get you one.

dragunrising5563d ago

360 version for me. I played the original on the 360. I tried out the demo for PS3 and 360 and they seem to be on par, so my choice is clear. Perhaps one day I'll get this game for $15 on Steam for the mod support.

Consoles for me. Playing it with a keyboard feels like I'm doing a spreadsheet on Excel, plus no money for a X360 controller (PC).

Kon5563d ago

You can just buy an Xbox controller adapter.

JsonHenry5563d ago

So you are too lazy to be a PC gamer?

dragunrising5563d ago

It has little to do with being lazy. Some people don't like PC gaming as unbelievable as that sounds. I'm also one of them. I associate the PC with work, and casual forms of entertainment- like watching a youtube video or posting on this website. I have the same mentality when it comes to gaming on phones. Steam has an amazing community and PC games generally look better than console, but it doesn't matter, as irrational as that sounds. The frustration of a game not working because you need to manually update your graphics card or tweaking your graphics settings are a HUGE turn off for many console gamers. Additionally most people don't have their PCs set up by the big screen TV and therefore associate PC gaming with the office chair and not the comfort of the living room sofa. There are many more reasons but it all comes down to convenience. Perhaps my opinion may change in the future, however for the time being I'm gaming on consoles.

DFresh5563d ago

PC.
Better graphics, mods, cheaper in price, and also Steam sales will be insane for this game.
I'm gonna wait until Bioware release a GOTY Bundle and Steam has the deal to get everything for like $30 and under.
Besides I already have DA: Origins on PC should get the sequel on that platform too.
:P

WildArmed5563d ago

Cheaper in price?
My PC copy cost me the same as a console copy >.<
Unless you are talking about the ultimate edition.. but then it's waay to long of a wait.

And, yes, one of the main reasons why i'm getting it for PC is coz my save data from DA:O is on PC too xD

DFresh5563d ago

I should of said cheaper in the long run because of Valve Steam deals.

Xristo5563d ago

Yes, cheaper...

D2D currently has it for $51.96.
$59.99 - %20(promo code)

I'll still wait for a Steam sale, though. Just my preference.

WildArmed5563d ago

@Xristo

The retail price is still the same.

Back in the good old days, I'd be able to buy my games on PC for up to 1/3rd of the retail price of a console game.

Xristo5563d ago

@Skv007

You are so right....i miss those days :(

PC Signature edition is just £27.15 here in the u.k. that works out for 44 dollars (after tax) if you are wondering americans :-)

I doubt you will be able to buy even the standard dragon age 2 now for console for that much.

http://www.gamedaily.com/ga... these are the touted DX11 features Pc will enjoy :-) Pc it has to be

JsonHenry5563d ago

I'm not touching it till STEAM puts it on sale.

TacoTaru5563d ago

Neither for me. I have Origins on the PC but since they diminished the tactical/strategy part in favor of free flowing action - Thanks for the offer, but I'll have to pass.

I'm also a little disturbed that DLC trailers were available last week. "The funeral baked meats did coldly furnish forth the wedding supper."

despair5563d ago

PC easy, I played the console version demo first and hated it, blasted it on forums and cursed bioware for the crap. Then I played the PC version and it was like a completely different game, still had some of the problems but the interface and the management was so much better it was incredible.

I'm sure many won't agree with me here but I cannot see myself ever picking up the console version of this game but I may actually consider the PC version.

Baka-akaB5563d ago (Edited 5563d ago )

i prefer the pc version , but i felt the console one was fine , and actually surprisingly playable very much unlike the first game .

the me2 radial system and pause actually make it possible for once to play strategically on consoles .

Dragon Age Lead Says Including World State Reactivity Felt Like It Was "Irrelevant Or Not Enough"

Dragon Age 2 set the precedent that the series would always carry our choices over, but was it worth it?

If the choices won't matter, why bother? Bioware works so hard at giving meaningful choices but rarely if ever carrying out the impact of such choices to the end.

EA Made Dragon Age and Mass Effect DLC Free On PC By Retiring The BioWare Points System

Immersed Gamer writes: "In order to replace the oppressive BioWare Points system, EA is making a large portion of the Mass Effect and Dragon Age DLC catalogs free for PC users.

For those of you blissfully unaware, EA and BioWare employed a payment system called BioWare Points on PC to pay for DLCs for titles like Mass Effect and Dragon Age. While PC gamers have been struggling with BioWare point’s unfair conversion rates and extremely scarce and cost-detrimental sales.

Console players have been allowed to purchase content in pieces through the appropriate Sony and Microsoft shops. For real money, and not BioWare monopoly bucks. In turn, console players missed out on some DLC content, such as Mass Effect 2 pre-order bonuses that have been repackaged into a DLC pack."

Great response to Ubisoft and their disgusting behavior. Ubisoft decide to take away DLC from people who paid for it, while EA give it for free to everyone when they realize their system sucks. Who would have thought that EA of all companies would be showing Ubisoft how it should be done (even if this is EA fixing their own mistakes as well).

Mobis-New-Nest1413d ago

What goes around comes around and I promise you, Ubisoft will see their actions blow back on them when their diminishing sales numbers and stock taking a hit downward. That's the only way a company learns when they decide to be reactive instead of proactive.

All BioWare Games Ranked from Worst to Best

BLG writes: "There was a time that BioWare games were the biggest deal in gaming. The Canadian developer’s legacy of all-time classics is well known. Mass Effect, Knights of the Old Republic, and Baldur’s Gate are some of the biggest names in gaming.

While BioWare’s quality has fallen off lately, there’s no denying the quality of titles in their portfolio. That’s why we’re going to dive in and rank every BioWare game from worst to best. By every, I do mean every BioWare game, even the ones you completely forgot about!"

Ranked from worse to even more worse more like, they been on free fall for a fair few years now and I personally don't think any of there earlier games have aged well

autobotdan1572d ago

Wow to think at one point in their history they made a Sonic the Hedgehog game..crazy

chicken_in_the_corn1572d ago

Anthem is crazy underrated. I really enjoyed it. ME1 is Bioware's best imo

I actually put quite a bit of hours into Anthem but i dont think its underrated. It was a huge mess, server issues, gameplay issues, crashes, no endgame loop, too few different enemies, uninteresting gear. too few dungeons.

It for sure had potential and if they could have managed to keep the same gameplay of the classes but without the rest of the issues, this game could have been huge, but in the state in which it launched it was such a letdown. They partly fixed some of the issues, but it took too long. A grinding game like this needs to hook players from day 1.
