Everyone loves to shoot down hordes of zombies, and the best zombie games allows us to do the needful – pull the trigger, crank up the chainsaw and go on a zombie-killing spree. Here are some of the best zombie-themed video games for your PC.

Following Left 4 Dead's undying legacy, the developer of the game shares that a new likewise project is in the works.
L4D had potential to be so much more. The issue was that the release of the second game just one year after the first added a decent amount of content which was much needed, then there was nothing except for a few small content updates spread far between.
This is one of the only games I can think of that benefits from a yearly release, or at least a yearly DLC so it doesn't split the player base.
The games just got too samey and lack content.. it's a shame they didn't keep up the pace, I know you can download new maps but it doesn't change the overall game or add new enemies etc.

Huzaifa from eXputer: "2008 was home to the likes of Call of Duty: World at War, Dead Space, GTA 4, Far Cry 2, Left 4 Dead, and many other hits, which is outright remarkable."
Just about every year in the 7th generation was great and something we most likely won't experience again.
2009 for example had Assassin's Creed 2, Batman: Arkham Asylum, Dragon Age: Origins, Uncharted 2, Halo 3: ODST, Killzone 2, Borderlands, Bayonetta, and Demon's Souls to name a few.

Times are changing, and these games would have never been made in today's climate.
Every single time someone uses this phrase whether it's music, movies, books, comics, video games, etc it's always the same claim.
The ubiquitous "they" won't allow it to be made. And every decade these claims are made the claimant completely ignores all the "offensive" material that is published when the claim is made.
In ten years, you can write a new article about how you can't make games like Helldivers 2, Resident Evil VIII, Mortal Kombat I, Dragon's Dogma 2, Alan Wake 2 etc etc etc any more.
Dead Island: "The early PC version of the zombie game swapped the playable character Purna’s Gender Wars skill with a prototype name, which shouldn’t be mentioned directly. The skill name made fun of both Purna as a character and feminists."
"Feminist Whore" lmao
ill add one more to the list.
drakengard 1.
its ridiculous tho, especially since they'd still be able to find their place in alot of places in the world. except america of course ha. and maybe Australia.
ppl are so sensitive these days. ha. but it is what it is.
They're not offensive.
And we need another Fat Princess. Fantastic little game!
Some people just have no sense of humour if this sort of thing offends them. They need to lighten up and stop taking themselves so seriously.
good lord, I love a good zombie article. Good job!
I'm surprised to see L4D2 isn't on there since in incorporates almost all the aspects of the original and adds on them.
Great article, everyone likes zombies.
Am more surprised it's missing Killing Floor but then it wasn't a well known IP so I can't blame them for missing it.
I think the reason the original was listed over the second in the series is because it was more ground breaking for the time.
L4D2 didn't have the same feel it wasn't as dark really, of course with all the updates coming I think you can play everything from L4D on L4D2 now anyway.
So of course the second game is better but I still myself would list the first.
Left 4 Dead is my all time favorite Zombie game, of course I play it on the 360, but I imagine it's still solid on the P.C.
Not only is L4D one of my all time favorite games in general it put some great twists on the Zombie game genre, like getting to play as a zombie, it also makes you use teamwork more so then any other game I've ever played.
I'm glad L4D2 isn't on there the first one was so much better.
Shame that whole Boycott thing went on because lets face it at the end of the day they were right at the end of the day.
and yet Valve felt the need to make a DLC killing Bill of when they could of focused a DLC on L4D2 set after the Parish killing Rochelle off and make a DLC thats only available to L4D which they said they were going to do but didn't....breathing some new life into the game.
I don't know about DR2...it's really fun but that time limit is so annoying. I like to do a few main missions then run off and mess about then go back to the main story line but in DR it was one or the other and you had to start again.
