STP: Barry Steakfries, the hero of developer Halfbrick's popular game Monster Dash, is at it again in an upcoming endless running game called Machine Gun Jetpack. Just like in Monster Dash, Barry runs forward automatically, but this time he's free of the shackles of gravity, thanks to a unique flying mechanism that you can probably guess from the title.

Pixels or Death's Patrick Lindsey writes:
"Indie developer Halfbrick Studios (better known to millions of iPhone gamers as the Fruit Ninja guys) have a new title in the works.
The game is Machine Gun Jetpack, and yes, it looks as awesome as it sounds. Similar to their other iOS games Fruit Ninja and Monster Dash, the game is controlled entirely with one finger, capitalizing on the potential for elegant simplicity inherent in mobile/iOS gaming."
Part 1 of the 5 part developer diary series for the upcoming iOS title Machine Gun Jetpack. As the game gets closer to its release date additional videos in the series will be released, as the countdown had officially started.
In this first video in the series -- "Simple Awesomeness" -- lead designer Luke Muscat breaks down the simple beauty of one-touch game play.

Exclusive: GoukiJones spent about an hour hanging out with the HalfBrick crew at E3, ate a lot of their sandwiches and played 3 of their newest games. Fruit Ninja PC, Kinect Fruit Ninja and Machine Gun Jetpack.
