Danny Bilson of THQ has addressed the rumours that the publisher plans to close Kaos Studios down in New York, relocating them to Montreal, Canada.
He said it depends on what the "economics are" for Homefront, meaning if it sells well enough they can likely stay. They "haven't made any decisions" yet.

Jack writes: "Back in March 2011, the first-person action shooter Homefront arrived on the Xbox 360 from THQ, along with a storm of publicity which included a really cool live-action trailer"

Last week game dev Steve Thornton took to Twitter to ask: fellow devs, have you ever slipped something into a game you're working on that's just for you? The replies are well worth a read.

Deep Silver and Humble Bundle are currently offering the first Homefront game for free. This offer will last for the next 48 hours, so be sure to visit its Humble Bundle page in order to acquire your free copy.
get it! the single player is excellent and intense and the MP is pretty fun, too.
Ehh, PS4 needs these deals too, or consoles in general we always get discounts rarely free stuff that's REALLY free (games with gold / psplus isn't free)
If the game is good I'm buying. Haven't seen enough of it to know yet. A mp demo would be sweet.
Ah yes, being at the mercy of a large publisher... the legacy of every bought and paid for studio. Sucks, but hey when the original members were courted from Trauma Studios to work under the Kaos banner, I'm sure they were riding high with the glorious possibilities, never really taking into account the not so glorious ones.
I hope they don't have to move though, because having to choose to move to a different area/country or losing your job completely (if most of them even get to have a choice) would suck.
Let's hope Homefront turns into a home run for them.
I am committed to the purchase of this game. I have 4 other friends buying also.
I think the game will sell well, especially since US preorders alone have already passed 200k according to Bison.
Fingers crossed it sells well enough for the studio to stay around/not merge though. Wonder what figures THQ would have in mind though, 2 million, 3 million, 6 million?
