JI writes: "PlayStation 3's Exclusive First Peron Shooter Killzone 3 has some seriously insane multiplayer moments. I took it upon myself to capture some of those moments for you and this is the first fruit of those efforts. The Jungle map is a graphically stunning environment with great level design as well. Here in this video you will see me playing with the PlayStation Move on the game online."

Is it wrong if I /fap to this!?

Hitman07695556d ago (Edited 5556d ago )

It's so wrong it's right. Killzone 3 for president...

@zootang --> it's a universal logo showing all system logos including PlayStation.

zootang5556d ago

What's with the Wii/DS/360 subliminal messages in the corner of the video?

SpaceSquirrel5556d ago

Looks like the Playstation Move works well with the game

Bathyj5556d ago

No, it works awesome. I dont think I want to ever go back to the DS3.

And I dont even have my Sharpshooter yet, it will only be better.

Seriously, its like a completely different experience.

Elimin85556d ago

@ Bathyj I so agree 100%. I didn't even want to touch my DS3 again but alas I had to get the multy-co-op trophies and MOVE is not supported which is the only time I used it.. Played with MOVE throughout the whole game. Multy-player online included....

cochise3135556d ago

Trust me, the sharpshooter takes it to a whole nother level.

callahan095556d ago

The Move + Nav combo is amazing for this game. I love it so much I haven't even tried the Dualshock. I've played lots of FPS games with the twin-stick setup and never felt as good about it as I do about Move + Nav with Killzone 3.

But don't get your hopes up for the Sharpshooter. It actually made the game much more difficult to play for me. I was very disappointed with it. I may return it. Haven't decided yet. I am going to give it another chance first, and try to tweak some more things and see if I can get used to it, but I really doubt it can be as fluid and comfortable an experience as freehanding the Move + Nav with two hands, each dedicated to one hand. The way the Sharpshooter is set up just makes the controls much more unwieldy and imprecise.

If you want to know more about it, you can click this link to a gamefaqs topic I started about how awful I thought the Sharpshooter was with Killzone 3. Maybe I was a little harsh in there, but I still stand by my opinion that freehanding is more accurate and user-friendly than the Sharpshooter: http://www.gamefaqs.com/boa...

Ju5556d ago

I have the Sharpshooter...but doesn't work for me. While Move works great.

I don't know, rotating doesn't work. To much "gun" to move. While with the Move you just twist the wrist. Same with the nav. You can just sit and have both on your lab while with the Sharpshooter you have to hold it.

Maybe that's just me. Move yes (awesome!), Sharpshooter no. Sorry.

Stationfan5556d ago

I was a move player since M.A.G., and even i doubted Sharpshooter i felt just move on right and nav on other hand would of been better.

I was Wrong Sharpshooter is AWESOME even online, when you do the zoom in scope its freaking accurate as hell.

I love the damn thing its awesome, i'm returning it in less than a month, and Buying the Socom Deployment pack thingy, because Move with Hardcore Shooters is the only way.

MOve the freaking shiat, man screw mainstream sites downplaying, what is one of the most immersive ways to play this gen,

p.S. I Hope Zipper updates M.A.G. and goes the route of Guerillas control for instance redicule that stands out, jump button mapping because X on NAV doesnt cut it on Sharpshooter.

And just transfer Guerillas tweak setting that just make it so damn easy to tweak, M.A.G. took me a while to tweak.

Which bad because people trying it out first time will just immedietly get overwhelmed with settings, and just give up which only hurts the community.

K3 move controls has actually made people on my Friend List give M.A.G a try because they like the move implementation and thats how they way to play shooters.

TheGreat_15556d ago

Yeah the sharp shooter is NOT better than just the move although it feels much more comfortable it's not as good for one reason:

With just the Move and Nav controller, you can make slight adjustments by turning your wrist ala mouse and is very accurate.

With sharp shooter, although it feels awesome and realistic, you must turn your entire upper body to make adjustments which is obviously less accurate and also takes more time to line up shots.

So I'd recommend not purchasing the sharp shooter for online play, the SP was awesome though since it isn't competitive. Don't take this the wrong way, while it's fun as hell, you'll just get killed and out gunned very easily no matter how much you perfect it.

THILLREBORN5556d ago

You know I'm all about the Move and KZ3 with the SharpShooter

Venomousfatman5556d ago

KZ3 jungles look sweet. Fighting never looked so good.

TheFreak5556d ago

yes it does, but sucks that you can only play guerrilla warfare on that map. Would love some warzone action, but I guess it's to small for warzone.

MerkinMax5556d ago

I'm just having a tough time aiming. I'm new so any tips will help.

Ju5556d ago (Edited 5556d ago )

Don't use it :) LOL. No easy way to say that. Maybe you can get used to it. I can't. But Move is OK. I haven't even played KZ3 with a DS3 yet.

gypsygib5556d ago (Edited 5556d ago )

This is for Move alone as I don't have the sharpshooter.

Set vertical and horizontal boxes to 0-20 max
Set crosshairs to zero
Turnspeed 50-60
Autoaim off
Hold Zoom
Toggle crouch

When calibrating Move, aim a little above and below the corner symbols respectively.

Play around in bot zone a bit or the SP, Move honestly is the best way to play console FPS games but it has a large learning curve - took me about 1hr-1.5 hrs to master it.

Stationfan5556d ago

First tip i can give you and in a way its cheating, but if your planning on playing long sessions, put some pillows on your arms for extra stability and support.

People will say it defeats the purpose, but remember your at a disatvanage untill you get you retrain your self to play in away that your not used too.

Second tip is since your starting off Make the Height adjustment a couple of notges up, doing so will have you from looking down and in the sky with any movement and.

Also lower the cursor sensitivity down, too keep everthing more stable, make sure your left and right is at a comfortable setting were you feel you can turn corners quick.

With those setting you will mostly just have to worry about looking left and right, because it will keep everthing horizontal.

Once you get the basic principals down lower and raise setting as you like, pretty soon you will be able to turn faster and pointer fast than the majority of DS3 players.

Keep at it, i think you will find the immersion factor unparralled that you will, just have a rush and not worry about KD3 and have fun

OH ONE more thing do all this setting in a Match of BOTZONE, once you start feeling comfortable, put the A.I at veteran or Elite, if you can hang with that a.i. your ready to own online. Because K3 a.i are brutal.

There's too many games to choose from

No Metal geat solid 1,2,3,4?
No Resident evil?
No Silent hill?
No Midnight club 3?
No NfS Underground 2?
No Final Fantasy?
No Burnout 3?
No Dragon quest 8?
No Days gone?
No Ace combat?
No Tekken/Soul calibur?......
just from the top of my head

PS1 era was full of great RPGs, PS2 was racing generation i would pick top 200 and even that would be just a fraction.

FinalFantasyFanatic537d ago

30 is way too low over the entire history of Playstation, I just wouldn't be able to narrow it down that much, I would pick 100 at least.

Storm23537d ago

Yeah...really odd list. I get that it is personal preference and I love most of the games listed, but my list would definitely be different. I agree though, it would be incredibly difficult to come up with just 30.

lockedongamer1537d ago (Edited 537d ago )

I only picked first-party titles. Otherwise, I agree!

EDIT: Except for Days Gone, I don't get the love for it but you do you!

Chocoburger528d ago

I didn't like Days Gone either, it doesn't deserve to be on any best of list.

Up there with the top tier in the industry. Love Guerrilla Games - Horizon Burning Shores is simply STUNNING.

1Victor1103d ago

Can’t wait for their next franchise

SullysCigar1103d ago

Same. They nailed it with Horizon. The trouble is I also want a new Killzone! Can't I just have it all?!

jznrpg1103d ago

I’m with you I want Horizon 3 , Killzone and new IPs

badz1491103d ago

I have yet to play Burning Shores as I just started Forbidden West (bought at launch, just unwrapped last weekend LOL) and playing on PS5.

man...I still can't believe the graphics especially now I'm playing it on my LG OLED. that graphics and with stable performance backing it up, GG really is the master of their craft!

Vengeance11381103d ago

32.7M sales in the Horizon franchise! With 8.4M coming from Forbidden West alone! Truly a hugely successful game and franchise as a whole. Looking forward to Horizon III

Shane Kim1103d ago

That's kind of a huge drop though. It's only been two games.

VersusDMC1103d ago

One year after realease HZD sold 7.6 million.

https://www.noobfeed.com/ne...

So not a drop off.

Unless you're saying a HFW should have sold as much now as HZD sold in 5 years?

Vengeance11381103d ago

It's been 3 games, this includes Call of the Mountain. Also no, its a great improvement over HZD.

solideagle1103d ago

lol you are comparing:

HZD: 28 February 2017 - May 2023 (6 years+)

HFW: 18 February 2022 - May 2023 (1 year+)

We will see if it surpass original number.

Phoenix761103d ago

@shane, 2 full main games, 2 DLC add ons, 1 VR spin off game, oh and a an official LEGO set.
Not too bad for an ip that's only been on market for 6 years

REDGUM1103d ago

Wow, very impressive. I didn't know the numbers were so high for Forbidden West. Still playing through it myself

thesoftware7301103d ago (Edited 1103d ago )

Yooo, when I first saw that Killzone 1 footage at E3, my friends my brothers and I were like, Holy shit! When it came out, it didn't look exactly like it, but we sunk so many hours into 1 & 2.

I even liked Killzone: SF, it was a spectacle to look at, and even today it looks good. I hope they make a new one. Can you imagine how that will look, and they can get some modern FPS pointers from Bungie.

blacktiger1103d ago

thank you fps lover, I'm with you

talocaca1103d ago

Such a wonderful studio. They deserve all their success.

The Decima Engine is absolute 🔥 I'm just mad they have abandoned Killzone.

OzzY-waZZy1103d ago (Edited 1103d ago )

Kinda wish they move on from Horizon tbh.

lukasmain1103d ago

They are probably working on mutiple projects. One of them is Horizon 3, but another is a multiplaer game and probably somehting else.

Imalwaysright1103d ago

There were rumours that they were working on a Socom reboot.

Killzone 3 is playable with mouse & keyboard on PC via RPCS3 & KAMI

Still looks secure 2 gens later... one of my favorite ps3 moments. With 3D and move the game is on another level

MadLad1854d ago

PC almost always ends up the best place to play games, even if it takes a while.

What would you rather play decades down the line? A game at a fixed resolution and frame, considering you have a working disc, and the hardware?
Or run it on an emulator that can update the experience all around, and let you use whatever control input you prefer?

If you insist on the former, it's really only for the sake of nostalgia.

Applejack1854d ago

I disagree. The main draw for consoles has always be the simplicity of just putting the disc in / downloading it and playing without worrying about anything else. The average person just wouldn’t want to deal with emulation even though it’s very important for preservation.

Terry_B1854d ago

Even emulators are super simple to use.

jukins1854d ago

Youre getting flak because people on here thibk of themselves as pc wizards. But honestly most poeple try and go get emulators and romz they end up with malware.. yes theyre "easy" if you know the basics but alot of people dont. That said the fact that its taken nearly 20 years to get a sustantially better experience for ps3 games than on its native system shows the complexity of getting bc to work. Sony, if they have any intention, should just invest in a vastly better psnow experience.

1854d ago
Vegamyster1854d ago

jukins

Most people who emulate don't get malware, you'd have to be going to some weird sites for that to happen, heck years ago people were getting sketchier ad's resulting in malware warning on this site if you didn't have a ad-blocker lol.

SinkingSage1854d ago

Can't get malware if you legally dump your own games, which you should.

Rachel_Alucard1854d ago (Edited 1854d ago )

That's fine if that's the main draw, but it doesn't make it a better experience, just a preference. Having the freedom to do the things you can do on PC is what the appeal of PC is. Buying a game on PC means you never have to worry about the console makers just deciding the next hardware shouldn't support the generation anymore, which means everything you bought is stuck on that hardware instead of moving up with everything else. Nintendo uses this tactic to keep reselling the same games over and over at inflated prices. Sony cut all previous gens off the PS4 and sold it back to people in a poor attempt with PSnow. While the PS5 supports PS4 games, that may not be the case in the next gen after this. No to mention shutting off all the previous stores and updates completely. Even MS stopped making new BC titles at some point, so now there's a big list with 17 pages of titles that are not playable on Xbone and are just trapped on older gen. That's not a problem on PC, the reverse happens where you only have to worry if your hardware can play the newest releases at ultra with no issue.

AzubuFrost1854d ago

Shhh don't say that aloud! You're going to trigger a lot of console infidels here.

Shane Kim1854d ago

I rather play it when it's available then wait 10 years.

MadLad1853d ago

Did you purposely miss the entire point of my post?

Inverno1854d ago

Well that's the beauty of still owning a retro console tho. Those who usually complain about emulation are just being blindly loyal to a company. Emulation is great for many reason, but if I still owned the console then I disagree nothing beats plugging it back in and going down a nostalgia trip

The RPCS3 devs are doing great work. And Kami works nicely with it too it seems.
Very neat.

Magatsuhi1854d ago

Been playing mgo on pc with mouse. It's not perfect but I can make it work.

Binarycode1854d ago

2 is the better game.

A Remake would be good. 60fps 2-4k

Omar3li1854d ago

60fps is peasant for FPS games now
