Edge: This week, we've asked the speakers of some of the most promising sessions at next week's Game Developers Conference to write for us about their presentations. Kent Hudson began his career at Ion Storm, where he worked as a designer on Deus Ex: Invisible War, Deus Ex: The Conspiracy and Thief: Deadly Shadows. Following this stint, he was appointed creative director at Midway Austin, where he worked on an open world title that was canned when the company ran out of money. More recently, he became a senior systems designer at 2K Marin, and handled the AI in BioShock 2.

Watch Dogs: Legion allows players to recruit almost anyone, but the exception of children or teenagers. Game Director Kent Hudson shared the reason why it was not possible.

Richard Bailey of The Koalition writes: From the moment I saw Watch Dogs: Legion during my Ubisoft appointment at E3 2019, I knew that this wildly ambitious game was something special. Described by Ubisoft Montreal as an open-world action-adventure game set within a futuristic London on the brink of collapse, Legion openly promotes the idea of starting a resistance group to take down the corrupt individuals in charge.
This is easily my most anticipated game of the month. Can't wait to spend even more time diving into the story, characters, missions and activities.

WWC: "The Novelist is a brand new indie game by Kent Hudson through his one man studio, Orthogonal Games. After having worked on numerous big budget titles in the industry and feeling creatively frustrated, Hudson decided to try his luck and went completely independent. The goal of his first project is to create a game where a player’s choices matter to the narrative and help shape its outcome. The game centers around the character Dan Kaplan, a novelist who is struggling to keep both his family and career from falling apart. Players take on the role of a ghostly presence whose goal is to help the family become whole again by guiding them through the difficult choices that we all make in our lives.
We recently had the pleasure of sitting down with Kent, and were able to ask him some questions regarding his game, inspirations, the current state of indie games on consoles, and where he plans to go next."
Oh man I only just heard about this game for the first time now, but I want to play it right away. Saying that, I hope Kent takes his time with it, and would be a welcome addition to PS4's indie line-up. Sony, give this man a dev kit!
