Well, played Killzone in a friends house. I must say, it is rather impressive. The graphics are very amazing for a console game. Killzone innovated in the graphics department, where Bulletstorm innovated in the Gameplay department.

Bulletstorm would be better compared to Vanquish...but then it wouldn't get the whore hits this site is looking for.

I cant judge havent played both. I have played killzone 3 though and its a superb game thats getting alot of biased reviews. They added so much variety i especially loved the beach level. Multiplayer is great allthough i wish i had a little more health and there are some class balancing issues. Operations is by far one of the best multiplayer modes i have played in a while, and the cinematic cutscenes give it a fresh feel. Downside to operations is that it only has 3 maps i wish GG would have launched it with 5 or so maps. Ps turrets are to damn weak im used to my sentry from tf2:P

I have only played the demo and that was just horrid, so i might buy it when its on steam sales for 20euro. But 50-60 is just too much, when March is packed with games like DA2,Yakuza 4 and motorstorm.

Stupid comparisons. BS is stupid fun. KZ3 is precision, ultra graphic, Helagast killing fun. Not sure how anyone could just say BS is the better game with all the bland environments,stupid AI and monotony.Why, just because it is something slightly different? Because the enemy runs straight at you with no defense or attempt to dodge, outflank or hide from you? Just give it up. BS may be stupid fun but KZ3 is not worse by any means.

I bought and absolutely love Killzone 3 and found the Bullet Storm demo incredibly boring.

Not much of a head to head.

Before these two games were released, I was certain I wanted Killzone 3 over Bulletstorm. In fact, I had given up on the prospect that Bulletstorm would be the game it promised to be and that Killzone 3 was going to be the perfect sequel.

As fate would have it, from what I hear (almost anywhere except N4G, of course...) Bulletstorm is everything it promised and then some.

As for Killzone 3: After being a part of both the closed and open betas, after playing through the single player demo nearly three times, and after going with a friend to pick up the game on launch night and then watching her play nearly halfway through the campaign (in just under 3 hours, I might add)... I am seriously disappointed.

I'm probably going to be getting Bulletstorm this coming Thursday, and I'll pick up Killzone 3 when (but not if) Guerrilla Games add online campaign co-op.

im on the KZ3 camp. Bulletstorm never hit the sweet spot for me.

KZ3: Ive got my surround sound on, im in the dark by myself getting into the game with my helghast shorts on and my helghast coffee mug playing into the night gouging out eyes, breaking necks, letting rip with a gun hearing my floor shake. when i dont have work im slaughtering ISA scum and I love every lack of sleep inducing second of it.

Bulletstorm: Ive got my friends round, we are having beers messing about and laughing our asses off at the cliched jokes and "dick" references generally having a great time blasting guys apart and shooting them in the nuts. Its mindless but its a hell of alot of fun.

Better comparison than any douchebag troll could give.

In order to like Bulletstorm

-you must like FPS
-you must like arcadey games where you score alot of points and replaying single player more than once

In order to like Killzone 3

-you must like FPS
-you must like tactical more refined and tactical shooter games, and online multiplayer

So yea I like FPS but I also think online multiplayer of KZ3 Shits on Bulletstorm in terms of replayability.

Like when i beat Bulletstorm, I hate walking covered ground and repeating the same old campaign missions over and over and would rather have a multiplayer mode in which cinematic story like events are recreated from player actions--something you aint getting in bulletstorm.---and dont give me that tacked on coop shit-I played it, it sucks

Bulletstorm is like a 9/10 the first time through, but a 6/10 for returned visits, whereas killzone 3 is a 9/10 first time through, and a 9/10 for returned visits due to its refined multiplayer.

in all its all about that second factor I listed. Sure you can enjoy FPS but you gotta like what those games are made of to enjoy them. For me, i dont like what bulletstorm is made of-relying on repetitive shit to have fun. I need new stuff happening in the form of multiplayer

bulletstorm was shit. it tried too hard to make it comical in the dialogues but just fails. campaign was boring even though the gameplay was fun while it lasted. KZ3 had better story, looked MUCH BETTER, and just overall a better game (high quality).

I thought it would be a GFX comparison. But in my opinion Killzone 3 looks better than Bulletstorm. I put the blame on the Unreal Engine since its getting old and it shows. And for people who disagree with me if the Unreal 3 engine isnt old and still at the forefront of GFXs. Then why is epic going to show off the Unreal 4 engine at E3?

As one who has to straddle the bias line very carefully, I still must say, this is truly an unfair comparison. While both games are quite enjoyable, KZ3 is in a completely different league all it's own.

Too many unnecessary cuss words and just the retarded OTT script that would make a redneck hurl ruin BS for me even tho its a blast to play.
My vote goes for KZ3, Brill and the MP is even more awsome than the last games so Epic win all round!

I don't think it is necessary to pit these games versus each other, and it doesn't make much sense because you can buy both for the PS3 anyhow. But, I look at these games like chess vs. checkers.

Killzone 3 is chess:
Looks nice, plays well, strategy involved, more serious but still fun (if not careful you can have your azz handed to you)

When I want a more serious methodical strategic shooter with more of a squad based feel, I pop in Killzone and play with strategy to kill the enemy in mind.

Bulletstorm is checkers:
Looks fine, plays well, the double and triple jumps are fun, less serious and fun

When I want to have a easy feeling shooter and get a chuckle, I will pop in Bulletstorm grab, shoot, slide, and kick the shit outta some enemies.

I prefer Killzone 3, the graphics and overall package is just a higher quality and more complete product IMO. But Bulletstorm offers great relief from the seriousness and even frustration that some may experience after a handful of KZ3 online matches don't go your way. Bulletstorm adds variety and humor in the kills and it is refreshing in a way to play a FPS in a slightly different way.

But, there is nothing wrong with liking both games, seriously, it is not committing some odd sin. I am currently playing both and I am having fun with both... imagine that.
