Having little to choose from this week as far as new movie releases went, I picked up a copy of All Star Superman and Due Date on blu-ray to pass the time at the office. Sad to say, but DC Universe’s latest direct-to-home animated feature was a flaming train wreck of a Superman tale that the Man of Steel himself could not save. The plot for All Star Superman felt like a forced collection of smaller tales pieced together for fanboys of the antiquated hero and couldn’t keep my attention long. Due Date, on the other hand, was a surprisingly funny spiritual sequel to Trains, Planes, and Automobiles whose success I chalk up to The Hangover’s Fat Jesus, Zach Galifianakis.
