Why Bulletstorm Is Better Than Killzone 3

NowGamer: According to the aggregated consensus (Metacritic), it’s just two percent of quality that sits between Killzone 3 and Bulletstorm. Two measly percent. Now, I’ve played both Bulletstorm and Killzone 3 thoroughly, and judging from my experience there’s a lot being crammed into that thin slither of a percentage – a wealth of ideas and creativity that People Can Fly can lay claim to and Guerrilla Games definitely cannot...

Killzone 3 isn't as good as Killzone 2 in single player terms, but multiplayer beats it hands down. Apparently, Bulletstorm isn't such a good multiplayer game.

gaffyh5557d ago

Singleplayer is actually A LOT better in KZ3. I don't see what reviewers are complaining about. Seriously go play KZ3, and you'll see that both the multiplayer and the singleplayer are miles ahead of the first game.

Also Bulletstorm is good, but it gets boring VERY quickly. I got bored half way through the demo, and even that was suspiciously short, almost as if they thought if it was any longer, more people would have gotten bored...

klapkip5557d ago

I had the same feeling about the demo and couldn't finish (boring). Playing KZ3 now and can't deny the BRILLIANCE! Reviewers that gave it a 7 or 8 do have to buy new glasses.

Hmmm...
Infamous or Prototype?
MLB the Show or MLB 2K?
God of War or Dante's Inferno?
Killzone 3 or Bulletstorm?

My answer is YES! Because I can play them all. The joys of the PS3.

i have been blatant in my disregard of bulletstorm. the game is trash, compared to kz3. i am not saying this in defense of the ps3, i am stating this the defense of great games. by the way, kz3 multi is awesome. if kz3 was on the 360, it would be the end all be all fps.

Funny stuff... it's a joke right? ...right!?

ChickeyCantor5557d ago

I love where people disagree with a simple fact xD

People are butthurt over an opinion. Its jilarious.

DEATHSTROKE-cro-5557d ago (Edited 5557d ago )

Killzone is not about creative way of killing enemies so how the FUCK can you compare this 2 games in which the core gameplay is so different. idiot

why don't you compare Gears,Halo,Battlefield ,COD gameplay to Bulletstorm ??? -_-

this article is shit.

btw. I like Killzone and Bulletstorm

ChickeyCantor5557d ago

He doesn't compare, cause the games are pretty recent.
Why one needs to compare is beyond my reasoning.

Who cares? its just an opinion. Why get upset?

OdinFallen5557d ago

Why so serious? Calm down man, its an opinion to get reactions exactly like the one you gave him. If you're so upset by it don't react otherwise you're just feeding the cycle.

TimmyShire5557d ago

Couldn't give a crap about either.

There's too many games to choose from

No Metal geat solid 1,2,3,4?
No Resident evil?
No Silent hill?
No Midnight club 3?
No NfS Underground 2?
No Final Fantasy?
No Burnout 3?
No Dragon quest 8?
No Days gone?
No Ace combat?
No Tekken/Soul calibur?......
just from the top of my head

PS1 era was full of great RPGs, PS2 was racing generation i would pick top 200 and even that would be just a fraction.

FinalFantasyFanatic533d ago

30 is way too low over the entire history of Playstation, I just wouldn't be able to narrow it down that much, I would pick 100 at least.

Storm23533d ago

Yeah...really odd list. I get that it is personal preference and I love most of the games listed, but my list would definitely be different. I agree though, it would be incredibly difficult to come up with just 30.

lockedongamer1533d ago (Edited 533d ago )

I only picked first-party titles. Otherwise, I agree!

EDIT: Except for Days Gone, I don't get the love for it but you do you!

Chocoburger524d ago

I didn't like Days Gone either, it doesn't deserve to be on any best of list.

Duty Calls - Epic Games' Forgotten Call of Duty Parody

Back in 2011, Epic Games and People Can Fly launched a Call of Duty parody - Duty Calls - that has been lost to the annals of history.

closed_account1060d ago

"Duty Calls: The Calm Before the Storm" sounds more like a massive case of the sh**s. 😂

I saw the parody mention, and half expected the ability to drop a deuce on your opponent... I left disappointed.

Bulletstorm - A Cult Classic Worthy of Revival?

Bulletstorm will soon receive a VR remake, but is it worth revisiting? Take a look back at the original 2011 release.

IMissJimRyan1068d ago

Absolutely. I remember when the game came out on ps360, I thought: "wow, another shooter" and in the 7th gen that wasn't an unfair reaction.

But when the game was re-release on ps4 I took my time an played it (it was on playstation plus at the time) because, ironically, I missed a shooter in that console. And boy, what a fun game! They made a game to be played and not to be watched. It was a fresh air in the genre that deserved better.

So yes. Maybe it find its audience this time.

SullysCigar1068d ago

It's an awesome game. The only exception (for my taste) is the script writing, which is OTT, but I guess that's what they were going for. It does at least match the OTT action and gore. I thought it was great overall and actually being in this game is going to be bonkers!

IMissJimRyan1068d ago

Yeah, I agree that storywise it's not an Oscar nominee, but it's like a porn movie in game format.

Abnor_Mal1068d ago (Edited 1068d ago )

Agree with the over the top script, and felt at the time that was the only thing that people were hyped about, the language and not game play.

But in vr this game is going to be great. It has everything that would make a great vr game. Lots of bombastic action, gunplay, blood, and that leash.

Looking at the gameplay now it seems that the game was ahead of it’s time and was perfect for vr before vr wasn’t even off the ground.

Venoxn4g1067d ago

I loved the game back in the day and will love in VR even more!

Yui_Suzumiya1067d ago (Edited 1067d ago )

I got it on PS3 at launch and am still waiting for the long rumored sequel to finally be announced. Currently have it on Switch and wish a physical version of that would be released. Absolutely love it.

FinalFantasyFanatic1067d ago

I actually feel like this game gets revived all the time, not that I hate the game, I actually quite like it, it's just constantly available, unfortunately I'm not a fan of VR so I'll be skipping this version.
