"Invasions are a common theme within games of any type. Maybe it’s all there to prepare us for the eventual day that aliens from another world come to get us. Who knows. While I wait for that day though, I’m going to enjoy casual gems like Bugs Wars." -148

Mobile games have been dominated by quite a narrow range of genres, which is not surprising, given the limitations and demands of the format. It's pleasing, then, to see developers thinking carefully about ways to develop existing gaming themes.

Killing zombies never gets old, but we cannot exist on flesh eating freaks alone. Thankfully, Chillingo stepped in with its recent iOS shooter, Bugs Wars, an App that throws a mess of aliens onto the screen and challenges us to blast these suckers to bits using a variety of futuristic weapons. If nuking your iPad sounds like fun, this is $1.99 well spent.
