Stacking Review | JPS

"Creativity is one major component to making sure a game stands out amongst the rest that copy and paste accepted formulas as often as possible. Double Fine doesn’t seem to have an issue avoiding the imitators as its games tend to be filled with characters and worlds unfamiliar to all gamers. Many should have no problem recalling the unique styles of Psychonauts and Brutal Legend. The team is doing what they do best once again and have brought us Stacking. This adventure/puzzle game revolves around a world of living Russian nesting dolls. Just like their real life counterparts these dolls come in a variety of sizes each containing highly detailed characteristics. This refreshing concept comes to life through the journey of Stacking’s smallest inhabitant." - JPS

Three more fresh faces arrive for Xbox backwards compatibility – Are they worth the return?

Carlos writes "March may not have provided equal delights when compared to that of February’s backward compatible arrivals, especially with great games such as GTA IV, Borderlands 2 and Hitman: Absolution arriving amongst the masses on Xbox One last month, but that doesn’t mean we’re any less content when new additions come to the program.

Today sees a fresh batch of titles join the fray, but with so many to choose from now, are they worth going back to or should they be left on the shelf forever more?"

Stacking was a lovely little game

Yes, but it's not there yet for me. Bummer. Was looking forward to reliving that one today.

Pancit_Canton3274d ago

Yes. If you got nothing else to play.

Yawn. I don't get it. Xbox doesn't seem to want to open the purse strings to bring in new IPs and with the selection of bc games, you can't tell me developers wouldn't want to get more.money on old IPs. I'm sorry to say, but Xbox feels like they care less and less for the gamer's...
