iPhoneLife - Since I’ve started playing hidden object games I’ve noticed that they have become less about searching a room for a bunch of objects and more about being like an adventure game. You often need to find an object to be used somewhere else, there are mini-games to be solved to unlock objects or rooms in the game, and you even have dialogs with other people in the game.

AppSafari - Usually when you see a casual game sequel, it means you’re likely to get more of the exact same, with slightly different window dressing. See the entire Diner Dash empire if you’re not sure what that means; good old Flo hasn’t changed a pixel since her debut.

GDN - I never really liked the old hidden object games until the more recent ones came out like Treasure Seekers II: The Enchanted Canvases, from G5 Entertainment. This newer breed of hidden object adds adventure game puzzle elements into it which make it almost like a casual point-and-click adventure, complete with puzzles to solve, storylines to unfold and characters to care about.
