GDN - Stacking Review

GDN - Most people are familiar with Russian stacking dolls under various names, the idea being that the toys house another doll, each smaller than the last, within one another. Some video games have toyed with using these dolls as a series of enemies to defeat, but Stacking takes a different approach in featuring most of them as heroes you control.

PS+ users get Stacking for free on PSN. That's right, a $15 game for free. I mean, it's not really free, since I paid $50 to be a PS+ member, but I've received like $500 worth of content from PS+ for that $50 fee. I'll put it that way.

Stacking is a neat game by the way.

"but I've received like $500 worth of content from PS+ for that $50 fee"

Well, I was trying to make sure I didn't get any hate comments from 360 fanboys saying. "Bu, bu, you had to pay the $50." lol Just wanted to acknowledge to them beforehand that I did pay that initial $50, but I got alot of stuff for that small amount of money.

Brutal Backlog - Stacking

Stacking was released in 2011 by Double Fine and remains one of their oddest and most intriguing titles. It's a puzzle game masking a serious message, but is it worth picking up today? Jump Dash Roll plays with some dolls before giving its opinion in this week's Brutal Backlog review.

Three more fresh faces arrive for Xbox backwards compatibility – Are they worth the return?

Carlos writes "March may not have provided equal delights when compared to that of February’s backward compatible arrivals, especially with great games such as GTA IV, Borderlands 2 and Hitman: Absolution arriving amongst the masses on Xbox One last month, but that doesn’t mean we’re any less content when new additions come to the program.

Today sees a fresh batch of titles join the fray, but with so many to choose from now, are they worth going back to or should they be left on the shelf forever more?"

Stacking was a lovely little game

Cobra9513337d ago

Yes, but it's not there yet for me. Bummer. Was looking forward to reliving that one today.

Pancit_Canton3337d ago

Yes. If you got nothing else to play.

Fist4achin3337d ago

Yawn. I don't get it. Xbox doesn't seem to want to open the purse strings to bring in new IPs and with the selection of bc games, you can't tell me developers wouldn't want to get more.money on old IPs. I'm sorry to say, but Xbox feels like they care less and less for the gamer's...
