From TGH:
"I can’t begin to express the amount of respect I have for David Jaffe; in just the last 3 weeks he has impressed me on several occasions."
David Jaffe, creator of God of War, supports Xbox Game Pass even after price increases, calling it a strong value for players who enjoy multiple titles.
David Jaffe, the same guy who said Metroid Dread was awful all because he didn't know to shoot up to find a hidden shootable ceiling. THAT DAVID JAFFE?!
Hahaha, so when ex-bosses and game devs say something negative about Xbox, they are spot on, but if they say something positive, they are crazy, washed up, and out of touch? N4G logic all day lol.
His Logic is sound, he doesn't just say it, he is actually doing the math, and showing "HIS" personal gaming habits. I 100% agree, and said the same on the thread when it all happened, it is perfect logic, depending on how you game. Hell, some people only buy Madden, NBA2K, or CoD each year and nothing else. Do we tell those people they are crazy for buying a system for one or two games and nothing else? Then you have the people who play 10 games in one month. Are they crazy as well? We gotta be objective, and realize gaming all comes down to what type of gamer you are.
Additionally, just like PS+, GP has multiple tiers. If Ultimate is too high, get premium, it's almost just like PS+, a lot of games, and AAA games added within the year. Again, it just depends on the type of gamer and how you play games during the year.
Gotta love it.
Why is this news? If he doesn’t care about the price hike, that’s his prerogative. I don’t understand the relevance here. This feels like some juvenile a** bullsh*t to stir up stuff.
There will be people who don’t care about the Gamepass price and that’s fine. I don’t care how people cope with it or find value, I won’t support it out of principle to what this company is doing.

Twisted Metal is getting an interesting promotion at San Diego Comic-Con.

Cyberpunk 2077, Abiotic Factor, Banishers: Ghosts of New Eden and more
Twisted Metal 3 and 4 join PlayStation Plus Premium.
Wow cyberpunk is a great pick up. If you haven’t played it you should definitely give it a try
Despite owning the 2077 One X console and the steelbook edition of the game... i still have never played it. I may actually give 2077 a try (via the portal) as there has been so much talk about it again, thanks to SW2 and now this comparison vid from DF. https://youtu.be/SvGQik3m6a...
Cyberpunk and Risk of rain 2 are the best of the bunch. Not a bad month if you are one of the few that haven't played those games.
Cyberpunk is probably one of the best games I've ever played, even when it came out with all the bugs and glitches and broken gameplay on consoles, I still loved it at its core because the world was exactly what I wanted in a dystopian vision of the real future and the story was actually well done and compelling. With the fixes and then Phantom Liberty I just knew that this game could've been GOTY winner if it hadn't been released too early and released on PS5. XBX and two years later.
Might give cyberpunk a chance now that the game redeemed itself . Is it only the basic game or with the newer content ?
That shows true class from Jaffe. Hes a real gem of the industry.
I love and respect Jaffe because of his extreme honesty. If he's not happy about something he'll definitely let you know whats on his mind. Unlike other people who just dodge touchy subjects
Jaffe is great, he's a regular dude who tells it how it is. Not afraid to speak his mind you gotta respect that.
i agree jaffe is a cool guy, i like his attitude and his personality. he seems like a fun guy to hang out with (note to self start a game media site/contact jaffe)
I like Jaffe too. I know he does have quite a mouth on him at times, but I like to talk to honest people and he seems about as honest as they come. If I had the option to spend an hour talking to a straight-lace, self-righteous person with an overly inflated view of themselves or an honest joe like dave jaffe I'd choose jaffe every time. Oh and by the way, Twisted Metal, flop or not, is at the VERY top of my list of games I am excited for. There is no way this game is gonna be a flop in my book. I have complete confidence it is going to be one heck of a polished, fun, and classic twisted metal experience and that's all I'm asking for.
