GamePro: The Blocks Cometh Review

The Blocks Cometh resides at the bottom of the App Store pricing structure, and it’s worth far more than the $0.99 Halfbot is asking for it. Assuming the control issues get worked out soon, it could be a must-buy.

'The Blocks Cometh' Update with New Characters and Free Version Coming Soon

TouchArcade: The Blocks Cometh [$1.99] is one of my personal all-time favorite iOS games, and it's getting an update for its fourth anniversary on the App Store, which is coming as soon as Apple approves it. Halfbot shared this morning that they have submitted the update to the game, so as soon as Apple approves it, which should hopefully be by the end of this week depending on Apple approvals. Some behind-the-scenes stuff caused some delays from the original February release for the update, but things are on track now, assuming Apple has been appeased.

'Super Crate Box' and 'The Blocks Cometh' Both Getting Long-Awaited Updates

TouchArcade: Two of our very favorite iOS games, Super Crate Box [$1.99] and The Blocks Cometh [$1.99], are getting some update love soon, according to a tweet from developer Halfbot. Super Crate Box is an arena platformer that put indie studio Vlambeer on the map when it released on desktop in 2010. It came to iOS in January of 2012, and despite being a highly-precise platformer, it felt absolutely at home on the touchscreen. Vlambeer had a pretty clever idea for updating the game too, as once certain crate-collection thresholds were met they'd release a new content update. The problem, if you could call it that, was that Super Crate Box was so unexpectedly popular that those thresholds were being met faster than Vlambeer was able to produce content updates.
